And the misery for Cleveland continues

Byron Scott sucks. Did he say "we don't expect to win" before this game, like with the Laker game? He truly does suck in his first year with teams. Everyone remembers those finals runs and the Hornets challenging for the 2 seed, but they don't remember his squads quitting on him and players having beefs with him from the minute steps in to the locker room.

His team really isn't talented.

No coach should say "we don't expect to win" before you even play the game.

The guy was 26 and 56 pre-Kidd in Jersey. He was 22-20 before being fired for Frank.

His first three seasons as Hornets coach would see him get 18, 39, and 38 wins. He would go on an watch his team get blown out in the playoffs his last game as their coach helplessly.

Now he is watching his new team in the Cavs get throttled and saying stuff like "we don't expect to win" before you even play a game.

That isn't what you want as coach, especially when all his teams eventually have a mutiny and grow sick and tired of him.

look at the names on this team.... Samardo Samuels, Christian Eyenga, Alonzo Gee, Manny Harris. these guys are all playing serious minutes for them right now. it's a sad state of affairs right now in Cleveland i don't think Byron Scott could do much.

My biggest problem is that no coach should flat out say they don't come into a game expecting to win. That just isn't good leadership for any team.

It would suck for them if they ended up with the 3rd pick in the draft.

Poor Cleveland. I feel so bad for players like Mo and Jamison.

Poor Cavs, they need to trade absolutely everyone on that roster for expirings, and next year play their draft picks (including any picks they could manage in trades) and other undrafted kids straight out of college. Doing something like that would bring some sort of energy back to the city, as well as create cap room for when another big name free agent comes along in the next couple of years.

It's tough but they will probably make a move at the deadline with the trade exception possible gerald Wallace get a top pick unfortunately draft could be weak due to lockout but may try and trade jamison so try and rebuild

Now where would they be if they got to trade LBJ for some talent ? This could take a while for Cleveland fans. Right now I don't see any player on that team that has a role on good team.

Outside of NY during the Isiah years, I haven't seen a team struggle so bad with almost no light at the end of the tunnel. They have bad contracts, mediocre players, a bad coach, a poor city and literally no one to even consider building around.

Yeah, Nuggets put that in cruise control and still stomped them.

It's rough again in Cleveland. If it continues, we may have an assassination attempt on a certain sports star lol

Lets see here..
He took a team to the finals twice
Made New orleans a solid team
won coach of the year
coached the all star team

They only had 8 guys dressed. Most of their stars were out. This isn't a big deal at all given that information. I doubt they are the first to score 80 in a half this year either, but even if it is, I don't think it's as big a deal as it's being made out to be.

Regardless, 80 points in a half is way too much. Some teams finish up with that in a full game, sometimes less than 80..

Just goes to show you how bad that team is.. I feel bad for Jamison, they should really look to trade him and their other players who have some value.. That team is going nowhere fast.. But I guess they're banking on that #1 draft pick.

if they would of had better management Lebron woulda stayed and this would have never happened.

p.s. Byron Scott is a good coach, if Mike Brown was the coach, Cleveland wouldnt even have 5 wins right now......

lol, I love it when people use this excuse..... Yes you are going to get worse when you lose the best player in the game. But Cleveland WILL lose 60+ games this year, when the won 60+ the last 2 years...... You do not drop off that much when you lose the best player, unless you have a bunch of nobodies and hasbeens around the best player. Which is what Cleveland has. A bunch of nobodies and hasbeens carried by the best player in the league which got them 60+ wins. So dont act like this would happen to everybody if the best player left. Hell if Melo leaves Denver IMO they are still a playoff team...

He really isn't a good coach. He is very PG dependent and has only looked good because of the fact Kidd and Paul were without the best in the league at their position when he had them. Other than that he is just a guy whose players quit on him and has unbelievably poor X's and O's.

Seriously, we have like 4 D league players, and the rest of the players are just 2nd or 3rd string players on just about any team in the league.

We do suck, but it is what it is.

And he looked like a bright young mind and prospect because Kidd came in on a mission and joined Kenyon Martin who wanted to prove his doubters wrong. Those 2 murdered the east along with a developing Jefferson and perfect role player in Kittles. The fact is they would have made the finals again most likely with Frank at the helm in 03 if Kidd's knee doesn't blow out in game 7 versus Detroit (seeing as how they had owned them the year before).

Jason Kidd.

I think Scott is an okay coach, definitely not as good as what he's made out to be.. But then again, every coach needs talent to win regardless of who they are. I do think Mike Brown is a better coach than him, he's very underrated.
