CP3 (If healthy), Nash, Kidd all three will hit top 10. A HEALTHY CP3 might end up as a top 3 all time as well.

Then why are you posting in a reply in the thread? I hate when people say things like "omg i hate these", "who cares?", "how are we supposed to predict the FUTURE? lololol".

FFS, these threads are obviously supposed to be predictions and generate some replies. Without these threads this forum would be dead. If you don't care about these threads, then don't answer.

Hmm. nice list, but i honestly see Rondo being higher on the list when its all said and done. Because IMO he'll continue to put up assists numbers like he is and he still has a chance to win more championships.

btw, I hate the arguement against Rondo that he plays with 4 hall of famers. no he does not. He plays with 4 players that used to play like hall of famers. They are all well past there primes. If you actually watch the Celtics play, youll see that Rondos numbers are not created by the fact that hes playing with 4 hall of famers, if anything its vise versa. Rondo makes those 4 players better, and thats what great point guards do.

I think people underrate Kidd a bit, however, in my list i should've had Isiah ahead of him. Feel bad for Kidd at times, just cause he hasn't won a ring, but if he did win one in his prime I think his status would elevate to perhaps ahead of Stockton.

Nash's defense should keep him out of the top 10 point guards.

Normally I'd agree with these kind of sentiments, but honestly, I completely disagree.

He's not a good defensive player, there's no ignoring that, but there are a few detractions: one, he never had good defensive help to make up for his shortcomings. That's not really a good feature to bolster my argument, but it's still true.

Nash is the best shooting PG in NBA history, bar none, and is the only player in his position to reach the 50, 40, 90 club. He was an almost revolutionary player at his position, a back to back MVP, and a player that undoubtedly made all of his teammates better. And he did this, you know, without being an *** at any point in his career.

On top that, he consistently became better at a time when players normally start hitting their eventual decline. Again, his defense is his weakness, but every other facet of the game (and more) makes him elite.

I think Gary Payton deserves some love... guy shut down MJ in a couple games in the Finals, which really shows his versatility just as a defender. Never mind the years where he averaged 20-24 ppg, 8-9apg, and >2spg

No one can touch Magic. After that is a crap shoot. Of the active point guards, there are three who are probably close to the bottom of the top ten all time. Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, and Derron Williams are solid. Steve Nash is such a poor defender that I just can't put him in the top ten. Of all of the point guards mentioned, Rondo does not belong any where near the top ten of all time. He is such a poor shooter and even a worse free throw shooter along with being an overrated defender. Of the young guys, DRose, Russell Westbrook, and John Wall have the most potential. Watch out for DRose. The stats he is putting up this year are ridiculous.

2. John Stockton- IMO very close second to Magic
3. Ricky Rubio- Yeah i said it. Just wait and see how many assists records he breaks.
4. Steve Nash- best offensive pg in the history of the game
5. Jason Kidd- As good as passer and floor general as the worlds ever seen
6. Bob Cousy- The one that started it all
7. Rajon Rondo- dimes machine.already has a title, will be 1 of few people to avg 10+apg
8,9,10. Isiah Thomas, Chris Paul, Kevin Johnson. I put them all in the same class. And yes, Kevin Johnson. The most underrated pg of all time by far. Look it up

Rajon Rondo will be proven or disproven once the "Big Three" depart. Rose will have a steady career and will be arguably top ten, however arguably not. Nash will most likely be overlooked because his play isn't anything close to what Rose, Rondo, and Wall will do. Austin Rivers and such will have no significant historic impact in the league by then, especially because Rivers may not play PG. Kidd will always be known for his triple-double skill sets, but more and more guards are taking shape to that. It really depends on what happens within the next three seasons with the veterans guards.
