IMHO, Nash is the best shooter of all time.

This could change but for him to get to this point is pretty incredible. When he retires, no matter if he has this or not, he'll be known as one of (if not thee) greatest shooters in NBA history.

JPHX, do you wanna go ahead and create this in the Suns forum too? If I do it, I'd just copy what you wrote so I'd rather u get the credit for it.

I actually like Hollinger's CSR formula for shooters. It does indeed show Nash on top. What is crazy, is Nash gets a lot of his attempts off runners and pullups. You would think the best shooters of all time would be purely snipers (many of them are), but Nash is nowhere close to this.

I think it's a battle Between Ray Allen and Nash, Ray Allen may be one of the best 3 pointers of all time. But Nash is deadly from everywhere including the stripe. Nash has a better shooting percentage then Allen also I believe.

I think it's nash, hands down. Guys like allen have made their career out of the long bomb, but despite that reputation, nash's numbers are simply better.

I actually think there are a handful of shooters that seperate Nash and Ray Allen. Ray is top 10, but there are better.

Umm...

Brent Barry, Steve Kerr, Hubert davis, Mark Price, Glen Rice, Dell Curry....

Just to name a FEW shooters that were more deadly than ray...

Nash, He's up there though. I do not think it's close with Nash and Allen.

well the average age here is around 19 from what I have seen, so a lot of posters simply don't remember much detail about them

Glen Rice...quite possible he had the best looking jump shot of all time.

But still it's tuff to argue against Nash. Then again guys like Mullin, Bird, Rice, Miller and Hornacek played in an era where defense was played at a higher level.

Dale Ellis was a pretty good shooter too.

Allen wouldn't even be top 10 in my list. Out of his 14 years playing pro, he has only shot over 40 percent from 3, five seasons including this one.

That is one hell of a record to have. Big props to Nash.

Very happy for Nash. One of the few players in this league that I respect.

I honestly hope he ends up in a situation where can win a title before he retires. One of the best PGs to ever play the game, a tough guy and always gives it a 100% no matter what. Would be really unfortunate if he retired without a ring.
