When I watch the Pistons play I hold very few expectations. I don't expect any certain player to play good, I don't expect consistent nor logical rotations from the coach, I don't expect good execution on either end of the floor, and I sure as hell don't expect a win. What I do expect is for them to play like complete *** in the 3rd quarter. It's like clockwork, it seems like no matter who they're playing or where they're playing at, they're going to get their *** kicked in the 3rd quarter.

Lately everytime I check the boxscore of any game I've been noticing a pattern that good teams typically come out strong and win the 3rd quarter, especially the heat. The Heat seem to thrive and come out of the locker room with great energy and catch their opponents off-guard.

I decided to look up 3rd quarter point margins and surely enough, the Pistons are dead last & while Heat are on top of the list.

What do you think factors into teams coming out flat after halftime? Is it a rotational problem or is it just some players take longer to get going than others?
