Of all the crazy rumors flying around the Carmelo Anthony trade scenarios this one (from Marc Stein of ESPN) made me laugh out loud.

The Clippers’ Blake Griffin is one of Denver’s dream targets in an Anthony trade, but sources told ESPN.com that those overtures have been consistently rejected.

Can't blame them for trying I guess.

The Clippers would have pulled a "Clippers" had they moved Griffin for Melo.

Gonna take Melo plus a "beautiful black body" for Donald Sterling to look at for the Nuggs to land Griffin.

HAHAHAHHA good ****ing joke. I wouldnt trade any power forward/big man in the entire NBA for Blake Griffin. Griffin, Rubio, James, Durant are going to run the NBA for years to come

no offense to nuggets fans, but the nuggets FO is kinda starting to piss me off. They jerk all these teams around, offering these insulting trade propositions; it's like they think they're the smartest guys in the room...when they're not

Nuggets are really dumb, all they can get is Chris Kaman and a pick. That's about it.

Blake Griffen is the most valuable player, trade-value wise, in the NBA. What is Denver thinking??

 Why are people getting mad at the Nuggets... it doesn't hurt to ask.

TBH if Melo was as young as Griffin, I would think about it if I was the Clips (still need a bit more from Denver).

The only player in the nba worth trading griffin for is lebron. 6th best player and he is only a rookie.

james
wade
kobe
howard
cp3
griffin (sorry durant)

Well, that doesn't seem right. In the art of negotiation, it certainly can hurt to make an insulting offer to someone you hope to do business with.

It's like saying "I think you're an idiot."; not a great way to start if you hope to reach a mutually beneficial agreement

Why not ask? I mean, Donald Sterling is a total moron

Start off asking for the moon, and then work towards more realistic options...

If this did happen, it would be safe to say the clippers want the curse to continue.

Its quite admirable the Nuggets even asked. :D

amen. Enough with the drama, ship if your going to ship, hold if your going to hold. Stop cluttering up the airwaves with 'the decision' v2.0. Worse than the original.

Maybe Kevin Love for Melo, but they are nuts if they think they are getting Blake.

wow! What the heck is the nugg front office smoking? I hope Melo plays the entire season as a nugg and leaves in summer, so the nugg is left with nothing. They are really being dramatic and waaay too greedy.

It's a non story, since the Clippers have smartly ignored them and told them eat it. Denver FO is going to be screwed for years to come and are going to end up pissing off their own fanbase.
