View Full Version : Love, Rose, Westbrook Have (Jokingly?) discussed playing together in the NBA

Then there is this: Love told SI.com that during last summer's World Championship in Turkey he had conversations with USA Basketball teammates Russell Westbrook (who played with Love at UCLA) and Derrick Rose about the possibility of someday teaming up in the NBA. Oklahoma City's Westbrook and Chicago's Rose are also permitted to sign extensions this summer.
"We all talk about playing together," Love said. "It's fun to talk about. When the time comes, we'll assess the situation and figure it out."

cant see Rose in the mix. he'll stay in Chicago and they already have Noah and Boozer locked up

I can see Love and Westbrook though. either in OKC or another team
doubtful, but not crazy

I'm sure Love is joking...
And I'm positive Rose won't leave Chicago nor Russ will leave OKC. I could see Love joining OKC down the line. My major gripe with him is how bad he is defensively.

Love would upgrade your frontcourt so much its not even funny though, you know that. Not that he is coming, but cmon now. A 21-15 player helps anyone

Pretty sure Klove is staying in Minny. He likes it here, he see's that we are a team that could be very competitive in a year or two. WE have lost so many games this year by blowing it in the 4th quarter its crazy. We could possibly have 15+ wins right now.

Don't get me wrong, he's a nice player. But his poor defense really irks me. And considering we already have Noah and Boozer, it's not like we need Love (no pun intended).

I think OKC would be a great place fo Love considering their weakness in the rebounding department. They'd just be missing a defender (like a Chandler?) from becoming unstoppable.

Love would be great if he played on OKC. I can definitely see love leaving in a sign and trade so they can pair someone with beasley.

I could actually see Love fitting with Chicago depending on when his rookie contract and extension is up in comparison to Boozer's 5 year deal that we gave him this off season. Boozer will be 34 then and probably on the decline. Kevin Love would be 27 if these offseasons matchup. I'm not sure where Westbrook would fit in, since we already have a superior PG in Derrick Rose, but he could probably play SG for us I'd imagine.

Wont ever happen, D Rose and Westbrook are both PG's and i dont see any of them leaving their teams anytime soon. Love will stay in Minny, he'll get paid big money there

When is it up? Wouldn't it be this year since he's from the 2008 draft class? Because then assuming he signs an extension with the Timberwolves, most range from 3-5 years from what I've seen. So if he happened to sign a 4-year extension this offseason, it would be up at the same time.

It's unlikely anyways, just fun to think about.

There's no way we would ever trade Green, Ibaka, and first round picks (unless it was for someone like Griffin, which I'm aware is not plausible). If we were to offer a deal for Love, it would definitely be centered around Green and first rounders though. Throw in Peterson expiring and it seems like a relatively realistic deal.

is blake griffin really that much more valuable than love in your eyes? they are both very good players who would do little to solve the thunder's problems. but they are both worth the price of ibaka/green (or whomever), because the thunder can't get as much value for what will be late first-rounders going forward.

Green and 1st rounders in the 20's are not getting Love dude. Green is alright, no doubt. But he will never sniff an all star game, and is ultimately just a really good role player

Griffin? Kevin Love puts up better numbers than Griffin

and will have a way longer careee bc he doesnt have to rely on his athleticism

And is only a year older than Griffin and can play center sometimes bc hes bigger

We've only seen a quarter of a season from Griffin, he could be injury prone

I rather have Love until Griffin can show me he can play 3 seasons healthy back to back

I think you are underestimating how good Love is

Green and a couple late first round picks arent gonna get it done,

Green + Ibaka + expiring contract + 1st round pick will

Well this year we have 3 first rounders (if I'm not mistaken), and as I said earlier, I would even consider throwing in Harden as well.

I just don't see Ibaka going anywhere, which was the point I ws trying to make.

They arent gonna want Harden, they have too many guards
