Heat can't run with us ; )

Javale McGee having himself a night out there in Washington. Already 8pts 8rbs 3blks with 5 to go in the 2nd quarter. That team looks so much better with Wall starting again. Fun matchup with him and Cp3 too.

Wright with 20 so far in the first half. 8-9fg, 4-4 from the arc. He's capable of nights like this, but there's definitely some former-team motivation going on.

Team has 1 turnover. Playing surprisingly perfect basketball. Might hit 70 by the half.

John Wall's definitely one of the most exciting/dynamic PG's in the NBA, but playing against CP3 it becomes fully evident just how far he has to come. Once he can harness that energy and make smarter decisions, he's going to be right there with the best; turnover nightmare right now though.

And that half by the W's was incredible. Heat actually played well offensively themselves, but the Warriors quick penetration/dishes are giving them hell.

Random thought: Home town statisticians are ridiculously liberal in what they're willing to call an assist. Saw John Wall pass the ball to Lewis in the first half only to have Rashard gain his composure, pump fake, put the ball on the ground and attack the basket as he drew contact and got the and-1. Assist credited to JW. Wtf? Similar situation with Ginobili to Blair in San Antonio just now.

Happens all the time. Incredibly annoying.

Definitely happens all the time (Hornets last season - with Collison in particular - comes to mind), and it makes me wonder how it compares to the way it was scored in the past (I know the actual assist rules have changed some too). Makes comparisons of past PG's a lot tougher to do without watching all the film.

And no doubt Wall could still possibly get ROY, but he's got a steep uphill battle with how dominant BG is.

Maybe because when he and Curry took it in, they took the stupidest most ridiculous attempts. More Ellis than Curry. No one deserves free shots when you put up a ******** shot like that. he should take notes from D Wade and Lebron.

No he wasn't, thats my point. He just goes in and when some contest his shot he contorts his body and throws the ball from his ***. Im not gonna lie, he makes it some times, but that isn't gonna fall on a regular basis and you will NEVER get a call when you throw up such ridiculous shots.

You're being an idiot dude, and beyond annoying. You need to stop making Heat fans look like tools. This game aside, contact is contact, regardless of whether or not the shot is fundamentally sound to your liking or not. Plus, Monta's a career 48% shooter, he makes them at a higher rate than most SG's.

Anyway, Spurs just dismantled OKC even with an off night from Manu, it's time for Brooks and CO. to look for different solutions there. I think they should start having Ibaka and even Aldrich eat up more into the Kristic's minutes, and they still need another elite 3pt shooter to spread the floor. Way too inconsistent from range.

Scott Brooks is too stubborn and arrogant to start Ibaka. As is Presti.

They've ate up all the hype and love from the media that they can't do wrong in their own minds. Brooks won't start Ibaka, he obviously won't integrate any sort of offensive system, and Presti seems to be content with what we have.

This organization could easily swing a deal for a sharpshooter or a defensive big man, but Presti and Brooks have their heads up their ***** right now.

Warriors 16 free throws. Heat 45 free throws. You tell me how this game is not rigged?

You had a 20 point lead, Your own team did not show up in the second half and we tighten up our defense in the second half. Lets face it GS does not play good defense although they are second in the league in steals. They need to play better team defense and better 1on1 defense. My point is that your team had no legs left after playing that great 1st half and I am very happy for D.Wright!

They were public enemy number 1 the past 2-3 years especially but now all that seems to have disappered so either boston/la fans all of a sudden got nicer or its what i just said people attacked them and they got defensive and were made to look like the *******s but now that people dont attack them as much (they subbed us in for that) they all of a sudden arent the bad guys anymore.

Point is stop the *****ing and bickering at us for every little thing and in turn we wont. Its that simple if not then bring it on were not running.

Completely understand. My point is, does it really take 8 pages of the NBA game threads to get your point across (I'm not directing this at you, rather the fanbase in general)? If people *****, let them; Miami is going to receive hate for as long as this team is intact. So might as well accept the inevitable hate and maturely handle the situation.

Wtf? Similar situation with Ginobili to Blair in San Antonio just now.

how many dribbles did he have. an assist is credited tot he player tht passed if the player shoots and scores with 3 dribbles or less

You gotta stay positive, we lost 3 games in a row and were still 2nd in the West by 2 and a half games! And we got the Cavs tomorrow, then Dirk will be back after that game

Nooo no, that's not true. I mean that might be how some statkeepers are looking at it, but it's not how it's supposed to be:

http://hoopedia.nba.com/index.php?title=Assist

In basketball, an assist is attributed to a player who passes the ball to a teammate in a way that leads to a score by field goal, meaning that he or she was "assisting" in the basket. There is some judgment involved in deciding whether a passer should be credited with an assist. An assist can be scored for the passer even if the player who receives the pass makes a basket after dribbling the ball. However, the original definition of an assist did not include such situations, so the comparison of assist statistics across eras is a complex matter.

That's the official definition, so I mean there's some wiggle room, but clearly the pass to a player who does a pump-fake and then drives to hole wasn't an aid in him getting the bucket.

Basically any time a player does a pump fake followed by a dribble, I don't think there's any way you should get an assist. Especially considering in the past if a player dribbled at all following your pass, then there's no assist. That's a big difference than in our game now.

Ohh damn i just saw that Caron Butler injury and i think its a serious one to be honest. The second he jumped a ligament most likely popped. Although he did walk it off, sometimes you can do that when you tear the ACL, depending on how bad it is. I remember i saw Ronnie Brown pretty much jog off the field and the next day he is out for the year with a torn ACL. I could be wrong because im not an athletic trainer (although thats what im pursing) but thats my prediction.
