What players should be considered as MVP candidates... but will not because they play for terrible teams and either have too much pride or not enough pull to demand a trade. Here are my top five:

1. Kevin Love
2. Steve Nash
3. Monta Ellis
4. Zbo
5. Blake Griffin

Iggy over Rudy Gay? I think Rudy's finally taken the leap people have been waiting on the last 3 seasons and passed up guys like Iggy. I'd have him over Monta too given his defensive superiority. Nash is better than them both.

I think Randolph is more productive for the Griz than Gay.

That being said I'm changing my #5 from Eric Gordon to Blake Griffin.

To be clear, that isn't who or how I'd rank the best overall players on losing teams (with possible exception to Blake as #1 along with Granger and possibly Nash, depending on your needs), just how they've faired this season.

The latter. What players on losing teams deserve the most MVP consideration. I say Love because the individual games he has had (30/30) and the fact that he is averaging 20/15.

Fully justifiable pick, I just wish he played better man D, or tomahawk jammed like BG. I fully admit that I'm giving Blake Griffin extra consideration for the pure excitement that he brings to the team and the energy he's created for their fanbase. But Eric Gordon has been just as good for them overall (possibly the MIP, actually).

Granger has been a little off his game this year, but generally he'd top my list (and generally Nash wouldn't be qualified for it given their record...). Poor Nash.

Nah - Injury has kept them both out of any sort of big praise this year. Both are just now starting to get back into the swing of things after some weeks out.

Tho' I bet both have a huge 2nd half.

Iguodola is nowhere close to a top 5 player on a losing team!! Being from Philly, I get to watch him on a nightly basis and the way he chucks up poor shot after poor shot, he's not even in the discussion.

My list:
1. Kevin Love
2. Monta Ellis
3. Steve Nash
4. Blake Griffin
5. Rudy Gay

(Honorable Mention: Eric Gordon)

Wall still has pretty good stats. Still a lot of games to be played. Griffin gets hurt and Wall gets Roy (No one in their right mind will give Fields ROY; though he is 3rd).

They're OK. 15/8/4 with 3.5 turnovers a game and shooting 39%. He has a weak offensive rating (101) and an average PER (16). Accompanied with all his missed time, those are pretty underwhelming numbers overall. Definitely nowhere near the impact of the other guys we're talking about on these lists, especially BG.

But like I said, I could fully see a big 2nd half out of him, just a matter of whether or not he can stay on the court.
