Not sure. Could be Demarcus, could be a slump, and it
could also be a lot of things. He's just garbage as of now. He needs to find his shot, that's for sure.

Where do I begin?
1. they have noone who can spread the floor so they just stuff the paint
2. He has a bad foot and can't push off of it very well so it's affecting his explosivness and it doesn't allow him to elevate
3. Westphal isn't using him or the rest of the team for that matter very well
4. Team Chemistry is ****. They are losing and starting to call eachother out
5. When Sammy is in he clogs the paint on offense..

He is on a team without anyone to spread the floor for him.
Not to mention he was injured and its possible he has to adjust to getting through a Sophomore slump when everyone knows how to guard you now.

HEALTH.

There are other problems, but as of now, this is the real key.

The Kings need to sit him out a few weeks to a month or so, let the foot heal. There's no reason to keep him out there when obviously the team is going nowhere this season.

Think long term.

So a player is injured and tries to play through it and gets criticized?... Simple, people. He has been injured.

If you really want to look at his shooting percentages, that is a great factor. Also, he just tried to re-invent his shooting stroke in the off season.

That is not an easy thing to do... I expected his shot to suffer in the short term as a result of this. Long term, he will be OK.

Contrary to what some of the folks here are saying, his FG% is fine from the outside. In fact, they're better than they were last season. The difference is that he's taking more of these low percentage shots. On top of that he's shooting worse from 15 feet and in and taking fewer of those shots. I think it's just the foot problem. He doesn't look like he has the same agility or explosiveness that he had last season.

Injured or prob hanging with Brandon Jennings and picked up his bad shot selection skills..

His shot has been suffering since he first picked up a basketball.

no they are not

Actually he's right...

http://hoopdata.com/player.aspx?name=Tyreke%20Evans

He's improved his shooting from 32% to 35% from 16-23 feet and his eFG% from three has improved from 38.3% to 41%. It's at the rim and from 15 feet inwards where he's struggling, probably in part to Dalembert clogging the paint.

so it evens out then, though those numbers are still very bad

Sophomore slump and the team not working together. Work ethic too man, guys get too comfortable and stop working hard. He got lazy..

yeah ive noticed hes been missing a lot of hoops at the rim. Knowing his plantar fasciitis issues i would imagine its hard for him to push off to get the kind of leverage to put himself in better position to score.

He still get to the rim at will so im not worried at all.

PW rotation adventures dont help either.

thekmp211

he has plantar fascitis, a really annoying injury that hurts a guy like him more than most because his game is predicated on his first step. he hasn't been explosive this year, and the kings somehow regressed as a team this year.
