I hate watching games that Bavetta refs. Its pretty much guarenteed to be a foul fest, and makes the games so hard to watch.

tredigs
12-17-2010, 02:31 AM
That was the right call, too. Ginobili immediately vaults to the top 5 of the MVP race (I hate myself for even writing this) after these past two nights (along with an entire season of amazing play).

Great teams find a way to win. This Spurs team is great.

I'm surprised too. But looks like the right call to me. I admire the guts of the officials. Everyone blames them if they call a foul where there was one. No one would blame them for swallowing the whistle there.

Two nights don't make a career. He's clutch, and I'm a big fan of the guy, but there's more clutch players out there. For example, last night was Manu's first buzzer beater... ever.

But as I said in that other clutch thread, there's more to being clutch than buzzer beaters. At the end of the game, the ball is going to Manu and everyone knows it. He's done it more than just twice this season.

Truth. The homer is strong in this one...

Agreed @ his shot creating capabilities at the end, Spurs fans. He's definitely up there, but as a marquee go to "clutch finisher", I'd still rather have the ball in a handful of other peoples hands.

Oh I agree that there are a handful of players that are more clutch, one of em was on the floor with him today. Kobe, Wade, Melo at the minimum are above him.

EDIT: Pierce too, knew I was forgetting someone.

Personally I think its because he doesnt have a sprained ankle or plantar fascitis this year like he did all of last year

Maybe, but when you can't run or cut full speed, it hurts.

Trust me he looks a lot quicker this year then he did last year, he could barely get into the paint.

Plus I think he lost some weight and slimmed down too.

thats good for him and the spurs. I am Happy he resigned there and is relevant again. Laker fans shouldnt feel too comfortable against the spurs because the spurs know what they are doing and what they are shooting for.

Come on, you have to admit Manu's clutchiness has been welldocumented in his career. Just buzzerbeaters don't justify that.
