The NY Post reported that the Yankees amongst other teams called the Twins asking about Liriano's availability. A source in the Twins front office said it would have to be for a definitively better player for them to entertain moving Liriano. I'm a big Yankee and like to consider myself a realistic one.

An entertaining idea is a 3 way with the Twins getting Grienke, Yankees getting Liriano, and the Royals getting prospects from both teams. Kind of like a poor mans Mariners (Lee), Phillies (Halladay), Blue Jays trade last year.

Yankees Aquire Liriano in a deal that follows such as:

Yankees- Fransisco Liriano
Twins- Zack Grienke, Kevin Russo IF
Royals- Aaron Hicks OF, Miguel Sano 3B, Austin Romine C, Ivan Nova SP, Joba Chamberlain SP/RP

Thought I'd take a stab at it. Very unlikely though.
