What are some Moments you recall where you held your breath as it looked like your star player was going to be INJURED after a hard fall or tweak of an ankle or something, etc?

Well if Devin Harris qualifies as a "star player" then every ****ing time he's on the floor. It's no wonder he always gets injured, he falls emphatically because he's always trying to draw a foul and he has a tendency to stick out his arms when he falls. I cringe every time he falls after going up for a lay-up.

not sure if youre only talking about when they didnt end up hurt. but a few i can think of are

Marc Savard blindsided by Matt Cooke -- and he did end up very very hurt
Vince Young just about every week.
David Krejci's concussion a few weeks ago looked way worse than it was
Whenever Youk gets a ball thrown at his head, which seems to happen way too often
Johnny Damon running into Damian Jackson in the playoffs

Every game for Vince Carter when he was on the Raptors. Love the dude, but his injuries prevented him from being the best player in the league.

Rondo takes a ton of hard falls, and I hold my breath everytime. Same with KG due to his recent injuries.

Ye that D-rose spill looked bad last night. I thought he was going to be out awhile. I also was wondering whey he was in the game when they were up 16 with less than two minutes left. That inexperienced coaching will be the achilles heel for this season. D-rose should have been the first out when the game was out of reach; have a b-team in there with maybe one starter like Noah.

its not life and death

1. Be excited, anxious, or nervous. For example, The election was so close that I held my breath until the final results were in, or I'm holding my breath until every-one's been heard from. This expression alludes to the interruption of normal breathing; the literal usage dating from the early 1700s.
2. not hold one's breath. An expression used to mean one is not awaiting something, as in I'm hoping to hear if I got the job, but I'm not holding my breath. It often is put as an imperative, don't hold your breath, meaning "don't expect it, it's not likely," as in They may get married this summer, but don't hold your breath. This expression in effect implies it is unwise to stop breathing until a particular event occurs, since it may never come to pass. [Slang; mid-1900s]

English is fundamental. The person posting was just trying to ask the people in this forum if there was ever a moment where you saw a play happen and you were nervous about it resulting in a serious injury to that player.

I hope you understood this but im not holding my breath.

POrtland is the most obvious IMO. when Oden went down, the hole team just kinda came to a standstill.

Rose last night was pretty bad, I was scared when he went down with the ankle, much less that head first dive to the floor.

2006. Game 7. Suns vs Lakers.

Nash ran into Marion's knee near the end of the first half. And he went down for like 15 seconds. Then went to the lockeroom to finish the half. Turned out he only sprained his ankle.

that Livingston injury.. I just felt extremely bad for the dude. Seriously, even if he's a rival of your team, if you saw that game live... it's natural to feel sorry for him.

IDK, I feel like he should have been out after the first ankle sprain, but he staid in I think to show he was IDK, tough, but after that 2nd fall I didnt think there was any way he was staying in, yet he did, im not sure it was all coaching, Rose probably had some part in it.
