pretty easy games to pick tonight... 4 of the 5 games have HEAVY FAVES according to the spreads. The spread is over 8 points in favor of Miami, Chicago, Dallas, and Utah. Those are easy picks. In the other game Memphis is the favorite according to the spread, but I think Portland takes the game.

so my winners are:
Miami over New Orleans
Chicago over Indiana
Portland over Memphis
Dallas over Milwaukee
Utah over Golden State

It's not the same thing. It's not far fetched to think that Orlando would blow out the bulls, however at the time it wasn't very believable that the Pacers would blow out the Heat.

The Pacer's blowout was way more impressive.

Your getting awfully close to attacking Chi_shizzle personally in that bold statement. Personal attacks only makes your argument weaker.

Sure because losing by 29 points is obviously better, what was I thinking? I mean the Heat just lost by 16 but wow that's gotta be impressive yo, 16>29, which is funny since ESPN already has the Bulls in the top 5

So your telling me you think that a mediocre team beating out the supposed 'best' team isn't a better win than a great team blowing out a good team?

So now we are the best team? After everyone was saying it was Boston or Dallas, Lakers, Spurs and Orlando? You people change of mind really fast.

I don't know about you, but I am using math on this, not saying anything but losing by 29 points is worse than losing by 16.

Never said they were the best team. The word supposed is a modifier mocking they way everyone thought they would be the best. Ironic that you didn't understand that after calling out another poster on how they couldn't read.

Your right the bulls loss is worse, but the Pacers win is still more impressive.

Please enlighten me how I am a hater?

Did I enjoy when the Heat lost to the Celtics? of coarse. Was I suspect about most of their wins coming against teams under .500? yes and you would have been too if that was the Lakers or Celtics. I have always said the Heat will figure it out eventually and be a force in the playoffs.

Again how am I a hater?

Bro theyve played bottom feeders for the past 9 games

And the Hornets have lost like 9 or 10 of the last 12 games

Those are the elite teams in the NBA right now

I'm not watching it, but is it because of how he's getting assisted? He only has 1 assist on the game, that's why I'm curious what you're seeing (actually being able to watch it) that says otherwise.

He's soo good at 37 in this athletic PG's league. I wish we could grab him for the Bulls to back-up Rose and mentor him.

Wanna trade him for CJ Watson? :p

Sure :) Ill even throw Dirk in there for ya w/ a draft pick

No Granger, Hibbert and Collison have been total non-factors, and the Pacers are still hanging in with the Bulls? Really odd.

D. Rose started hot, but it looks like he went ice for the next few quarters.

Hibbert, has been a non factor, I agree That doesn't happen much, he's a solid big man, and a great player for the pacers. Collison hasnt done anything, and dunleavy has went ice cold.. shame ;/

I'm not watching it, but is it because of how he's getting assisted? He only has 1 assist on the game, that's why I'm curious what you're seeing (actually being able to watch it) that says otherwise.

Yes, because he plays off the ball. I have never seen any other current superstar to play off the ball so efficiently. It took him only 20 games to adjust his game and his has been unreal as of late.

Bro theyve played bottom feeders for the past 9 games

And the Hornets have lost like 9 or 10 of the last 12 games

The only game I give them credit is Jazz, but they havent done anything for me until they beat the Mavs, Lakers, Celtics, or Spurs

Those are the elite teams in the NBA right now

When a team wins 9 or 10 games in a row it doesn't matter who they are playing. You have to admit that they are a different team than they were two weeks ago. Miami Heat looks scary now (I watched every single game). NOT TO MENTION ALL 9 WINS WERE DOUBLE DIGIT.

Kevin Durant, and Dirk Nowitzki. Wade has been looking muuuch better lately though. Still glad I traded him for Granger in fantasy though ; )

dude give it a break. first off you are a permanent heat hater and showed that in july. 2nd, they are playing who is on their schedule. its clear you havent watched a game because it isnt just about winning for them right nw, it is how they are winning and how they are dominating and doing it without their 4th and 5th best players.

Based on? Do you watch Heat games? Are you saying they don't look A LOT more scarier than they did 2 weeks ago? Heat won last 9 games by double digit. It's crazy that the Bucks are the ones to end the Mav win streak. how many wins in a row was that?

Yeah, Rose is okay. He took a tumble that looked really bad. Looked like a faceplant from like 6 feet in the air. But he just sprained his wrist and ankle...so he'll be ok soon

Let's compare :)

When did I say compare Heat and Mavs? All I have said Miami Heat is a completely different team now and you kept bringing up easy schedule BS. Just so you know any team can win in a given night but a winning streak is a winning streak. Gotta give credit. You arrogance has been off the chart and quite ironically Mavs lost to the Bucks at the very same time.

Well you have to look at where he's coming from.. The Eastern Conference in general is weak. Man other than Boston there isn't another Elite team in the East. Miami is 16-9 and right in the thick of things. I mean I like all 3 superstars on the heat man but you have to admit you benefit from playing the East. Come out west and it's a whole different story. Dallas, San Antonio, Lakers, Utah, OKC are all legitimate contenders. Boston, Orlando, and maybe Miami are the only contenders in the East.

Whatever, but 18-8 in the East isn't all that impressive. With the 3 superstars you have you should be closer to 24-2 but that's another story for another day. You only have to play the good teams twice a year. Dallas, San Antonio, LA, OKC.... That's 4 of the top 6 teams in the NBA... But it is what it is, we'll see what happens.

I don't think in my wildest dream any team (west) besides the Spurs (Healthy) will be able to beat the Lakers. East is a different story. Just wanted to say, do not speak rashly, it's the NBA, any team can beat another team on any given night, the Spurs (better team now) lost to the Clippers (the worst team in the league)... What I like is that people say that the Heat at its winning streak, have won, only low-level teams (which in some part is true) but when one of those lower teams (Bucks, lost 88 -78 against the Heat) beats a good team is that there was a hot player, and they are a good team.

This is the NBA is no excuse, you play how you play, you play against who you play, sometimes you beat the best, sometimes you lose against the best, sometimes you beat the worst, the worst sometimes surprises you. Sometimes a player is hot, sometimes a player is cold.

What you can not hide is that the Heat is playing well, they beat bad teams? Ok, we all see from a different point of view, when we play against "good teams". It will know ...

On the other hand East is a top heavy conference. Boston, Miami, or Orlando any team can get there and that won't be a surprise. Your thunders will come soon thought. A bandwagon fan wouldn't bring up 5 years ago, that makes no sense.

Also, check the facts. The Heat are playing better on both ends than the Mavericks and have a much higher margin... SOS isn't indicative of play, it's indicative of schedule (in case you can't put that together, this means you shouldn't use it in an argument as to why a team is better)...

well there you have it right there. hollinger is a joke. so with that said, I'll go with the west now. thanks for ruining it footballer, I actually thought the east had the better teams until now. :(

Wow

So every other team besides the Lakers should give up now bc according to you the Lakers will make the Finals easily

Not according to me. If you want to argue, then go and make a thread and see what percentage of votes goes for the Lakers and what goes for other teams. If you honestly think Mavs will beat the Lakers then feel free to make another thread on that one too just so you know what people think about the Lakers.
