Gilbert Arenas wore them during the Lakers game

$400 Dollar shoes, but they are pretty legit though if I must say so

Maybe, but basketball players rarely buy their own shoes.

Gilbert Arenas makes an average of $243,000 a game, every game, for the next 4 g'damn years (whether or not he plays). The dude could buy a new Mercedes before every game, blow it up with c4 after every game, and not feel a dent in his wallet.

I'm thinking he can take the $400 hit so long as he doesn't get caught up in a nefarious gambling debt or purchase too many caribbean islands.

I just wish I could slap a D&G label on a sweatband and sell it to Gilbert for $400.

It's heard of because it's so uncommon genius. The 99% of them who retire filthy rich don't exactly make the headlines. And Gilbert is about as rich as anyone in the NBA.

Point is, to make a correlation between gaudy sneakers and him potentially struggling for cash on the type of salary he has is beyond comedy.

The post was meant to be taken as a joke in light of there being players (however few or many) that have gone bankrupt due to poor financial decisions.. but hey, thanks again for sharing your seinfeldian knowledge of useless crap about the NBA.

I'd love to see basketball players signing shoe deals with DG, LV, Gucci, etc. They make the best looking shoes in the world and probably most comfortable too.

D&G should sign Gallinari and Bargnani to shoe deals.

not all sneakers are meant for athletic purposes

D&G sneaks aren't for ball

if Arenas ends up breaking his ankle or developing plantar fasciitis I won't be surprised

lol.. you think he pays for these shoes.. or any nba player for that matter.. they get brand new shoes given to them every game, all of them.. some change at halftime to new shoes... D&C charged GA for the shoes, right... double for the home court version...
