Today Two PG's Over-Performed Russel Westbrook, and Deron Williams.

Russel Westbrook had 38 Points, 15 Rebounds, 9 Assists, 3 Steals, 5 TO's in a Triple OT 123-120 Win Over the Nets

Deron Williams Had 24 Points, 3 Rebounds, 16 Assists, 2 Steals, 0 TO's in 34 Minutes in Today's Blow-out 110-88 Win over the Pacers.

You can make the case that Kevin Durant's Absence Benefited Westbrook, and TRIPLE OT added some stats, but then again these stats are significant. 15 Rebounds For a Point Guard.. Really?

So Who you got for the more impressive performance?

Deron Williams.

Ill take Deron. Westbrook pts are flashy and definitely deserves praise however half the points came within the 3 OT's.

Just going by the statline, I'd say Williams. But Westbrook scored all of his team's 13 points in the 3rd overtime and was basically the only reason they won. Jeff Green got them there, but Westbrook took over when it counted. He gets my vote.

I'm going with Deron.

Ding.

But for stat-line/game of the night, I'm holding out to see how Blake Griffin can finish off this game vs. San Antonio -

Westbrook dropped 21pts in OT with 13 in the 3rd OT alone, that's just carrying his team to victory in his star's absence... Great performance, KD's overrated. :p

I love Westbrook and Dwill is my favorite PG (Next to steve nash of course) and 16 assists with 0 turnovers is a nice feat. But so is carrying your team even though Green helped alot. But D-Will gets this vote. :).

I say Westbrook simply because had he not taken over like he did his team would have probably lost the game...

No offense to Deron who is a great PG but Westbrook all the way. He carried the team through 2 OT's. But if you want talk about performance blake griffin killed the spurs tonight. They had no answer for him.

To me that makes it even more impressive. Carrying your team in OT after OT is a good thing.

to me it seems that Westbrook is playing out of his mind right now, while Deron looks like he has just cruised through the season yet both are putting up similar stats. It didnt really look like Deron got out of 2nd gear tonight, and he puts up those numbers.

I'll take Westy on this night however, since he had to put the team on his back and win the game. We'll let him have the spotlight while he's hot, but hopefully Deron continues to cruise his way into mvp contention.

It's close but I think I'll go with Westbrook. He took over in the 3rd OT and he pretty much won the game for the Thunder
