The maximum salary in the D-League is $25,500 - well shy of the $2.6 million McCants earned in his last season in the NBA with Minnesota and Sacramento in 2008-09 - but the source said McCants intends to donate his Legends checks to the Urban Born youth and teen charity foundation

I wonder if its just a show, or if its a real sign of maturity.

If I were playing in the D-League, I wouldn't give up my paycheck. Good move Rashad.

Wow. There's not many people that would do that ... great move !

Btw ... I always thought McCants could've been a role-player-bench-force-type-a-thing. He has talent and obviously is pretty much down to earth.

McCants can score very well, and play for any NBA team if his mind is right. The problem with him is, he will hit a long 2 in your face, then be celebrating so hard the way back, that his man gets an uncontested layup on the other end. He then gets pulled and gives a face on the bench

very frustrating player

I'm sure its an attempt to show maturity and create a splash in the league -> leading to a contract worth a hell of a lot more in the NBA. Nevertheless, nice gesture.

McCants should be saving his money, not giving it away.
