He is currently averaging 18 points per game with 8 assists shooting 46% from the field. Can he make it as a back up PG this season in the all-star game ??

Rondo, Rose, Wall...I doubt it.

Nah.

Maybe, since they do put shooting guards and point guards in one category. Rose, Rondo, Wade and Felton are probably the best candidates. You can only vote for 2 guards though, and Rose/Rondo will probably be the two that get he most votes.

If the Knicks remain around .500 till the coaches vote for the back up all-stars and he continues playing as well as he is currently playing, maybe. I was going to call it ridiculous at first, but after looking at it more closely it's possible.

Rondo is a lock. Rose appears to be as well. Nelson, Harris, and Felton will have to fight each other out. Not going to happen probably

Too many good point guards in the east. But I am very happy and pleasantly surprised with Felton and have no problem with him being our PG for a long time.

if gallo keeps putting up these numbers he will have to be considered.

Would love for him and Amare to Go represent NY but i doubt he makes the All star team unless The Knicks have a pretty Decent record.

It is only possible if the Knicks are lets say 10games + over .500

I would say......NO!! He did look extra spicy when he torched my warriros, but only way he makes the asg is if Knicks win win win.

Too many good point guards in the east. .

I disagree. The West has a bunch of clear cut All-Star PGs: Paul, Williams, Westbrook, Billups, Nash, and Kidd (ok maybe not Kidd at this point). The East has Rondo and Rose.

Don't think so.. too many PGs in East who are better. Slim Chance coaches will vote him in. He is playing pretty good though.

Amare is already going to make it on the Knicks. So for Felton to make it in the Knicks will need to be a top 4-5 team in the east.

Is he still killing Amares game?

Umm Nelson will probably get voted in over Felton for that third spot just because how good the Magic are...Felton>Jameer imo tho

Rondo and Rose are the only locks. Felton is just now in the last 7-8 games showing what he can do here. So he can still get much better. It's not impossible to think he can make all star team.

A lot of you guys say our record isn't good enough yet the players you mentioned are on teams with worse records.

He is horrible with the pick and role but if he can be 50% as good as Duhon was with lee he and Amare would look much more lethal.

Way too many guards.

Rondo, Rose, Wade, Allen, Johnson etc.

18ppg 8 assists 4 boards as a PG of a fully redone and unfamiliar team is very solid. I agree that he wont make it, but its not CRAZY to ask the question.

If he can get his numbers around 20pts and 9ast, with the Knicks in at least the 5th seed and above he will be there as a coaches pick. As of now, no!

He does have a chance though. Rose, Wand, and Rondo are the givings, because the guards are grouped. Felton would have to battle out Wall, Joe Johnson, Harris, Ray Allen, and Stephen Jackson.

Amare is going there for sure as a Knicks rep, whether it is via fan voting or the coaches. The fact that Amare will almost certainly go makes Felton's chances difficult. I'm rooting for him though

Harris is averaging 18 and 7, Jennings 18 and 6 shooting 39% and Nelson 15 and 7. Felton is averaging 18 and 8 and is on a team that is playing better than both Harris and Jennings. His numbers are there and the team is decent so he deserves at least some mention.

Of that list only Wade, Rose and Rondo are having better statistical seasons than him.

I'd vote for him before I vote for the NBA's most overrated player, Joe Johnson.

So far a better season than Harris, Neslon, and Jennings. I'm only looking into Point Guards.

NYsFinest

I also thought he had no chance but now that I look at it:

East PGs:
3rd in scoring (.1 behind Harris)
4th in assists
4th in Rebounds
6th in Field Goal %
1st in Free Throw %
3rd in Steals
2nd in Double Doubles
4th in PER
3rd in EWA and VA

Probably wont make it, but guy definitely made a case to at be mentioned especially considering there was an adjustment period because the team was completely new and he has been playing better lately.

Wall won't make it his rookie season

who says?

felton wont make it i think WALL will before felton or harris or jennings or nelson

but all stars this year

EAST Rose,Rondo,Wade
WEST CP3,Westbrook,Hopefully ROY

no way he makes it. Rose & Rondo are locks as they both made it last year and both are even better this year. Wade will also be a lock, and naturally ppl are going to look at harris over Felton. Unfortunately he doesn't stand a chance despite his stellar play

knicksfan42

I agree with you that "people" (the same people who voted Allen Iverson in to the all-star game last year) are going to look at Harris over Felton, despite Felton having a better year but no one believes Felton has any chance at starting. The coaches, are a different story, however. It's not likely Felton will make it, but it is possible.

If Wall is regulated to the rookie/sophomore game he has a chance. Rondo n Rose are locks.

Rondo, Rose, Wall would all be selected before him. Before you go "WTF, not Wall hes a rookie"... go look at his stats.

Rondo, Rose, Wall would all be selected before him. Before you go "WTF, not Wall hes a rookie"... go look at his stats.

I did Wall: 18 PPG, 9 APG, 3 SPG, 3.5 RPG, 4 TOs, 43% FG, 34% 3P, 81% FT. Team record: 5-10.

Felton: 18 PPG, 8 APG, 2 SPG, 4 RPG, 3.5 TOs, 46% FG, 37% 3P, 90% FT.
Team Record: 9-9.

I'm not going to argue that Felton is a better player than Wall, because he isn't, but their numbers so far are similar. Again Wall is a rookie and his team doesn't have a good record.

felton is really under rated. I never thought very highly of him until he played for the knicks. probably because i never watched him play that often. He is a great pg and i'm glad he is in ny.

At first I said hell no! But then I looked at it again and said maybe. I think his only battle will be Wall and JJ with JJ surpassing the other two because of his name. Also, Nelson could step up and if he gets his stats to 18 and 8 then there is no discussion because the Magic record is way better.
