During the regular season, Anthony is an impressive 15-of-33 on shots to either take the lead or tie the game in the final 10 seconds of the fourth quarter or overtime (he made a jumper against Portland to force OT with a playoff spot on the line as a rookie in 2004).

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, his .455 success rate stands as the highest percentage for any NBA player (minimum 20 attempts) in those situations during the regular season since Anthony entered the league in 2003-04.

Among all active players, Anthony’s 13 regular-season game-winners rank fourth in the NBA, behind only Kobe Bryant (21), Vince Carter (15) and his teammate Chauncey Billups (15).

This is widely known, and widely accepted. The only ones who argue this are Kobe, LeBron, and Dirk fans.

Melo is, and has been, the best clutch player in the league in terms of hitting the final shot.

I'm actually surprised about this but good for him. I'd still rather have Kobe shooting the last shot for my team though.

Then you'd probably lose if I had Melo shooting the last shot.

I could care less as long as we keep stomping Denver out of the playoffs every year.

Melo is a beast, but he needs to play on a defensive team that can hide his inabilities on that end...

You didn't even play Denver in the playoffs last season?

Yeah the Jazz took care of them for us...and cmon fool, do the math...we've been stomping on the Jazz as long as the Nuggets...

And if I do my math correctly...[insert your Jazz beat us yesterday comment here]

In case you haven't noticed, I'm a Thunder fan, so I don't know where you're going with that; but it's irrelevant.

Fact is, if you want to win a game, you have Carmelo taking the final shot. Simple as that.

Yes, in your opinion.

Too many basketball players are driving automatics. Good thing for melo, he's still using a standard. (they have a clutch) ;)

Anthony's clutch play (4th quarter/OT stats) have been remarkable over the course of this season. Although it hasn't resulted into wins. The Nuggets are 2-6 with a Winning% of 22.2% everytime Anthony receives 90%+ of minutes available during the 4th quarter/OT.

'10-11:

Anthony - (-19.5 Net48, eFG% .556 & 49.7 points/48min)

Shot Selection:

Jump - 50% ~ 1.1 pts
Close - 44% ~ 0.9 pts
Dunk - 6% ~ 0.2 pts
Inside - 50% ~ 1.1 pts
