View Full Version : Switch The Roles Of Guards

Ok, just a little fun. Let's switch players guard positions from either PG to SG or from SG to PG. Any era, in their prime.

For example, if Steve Nash was a SG, how many points would he everage? Assists? He's has one of the best shots in the league, can drive, and score in different ways.

Side question: How many assists do you think Iverson would average if he was a pass first PG? His passing is exceptional.

20+ppg for Steve Nash easy

What if Derrick Rose was a PG?

WHAt, you cant just change somebody's possision, they play the way they play and thats what makes them what they are. If Iverson could pass the ball, he would be considered a PG, but he cant, If nash didnt need the ball in his hands to create for others, then he would be an off guard. I think personaly this threat is stupid, with that said, yes, there are players who could play both, D Wade, Lebron could play PG, devin harris is a PG/SG, Rose is one, but you cant just say put them at the oposite guard spot.

Duncan = Donkey

Nash would average 20+ easily

i dont think its a stupid thread..lol well as far as scoring goes Nash could score 20 a game at SG..but even if he scored 30+ his team would lose because he cant guard any SG.. I believe if Nash played SG he wouldnt be an allstar because the number one threat when going against Nash is his ability to pass to the open man... at SG he would be expected to score rather than shooting at will.. and im sure enough SGs can guard him if hes looking to Score rather than pass lol

Stuckey would average 25+

What if Derrick Rose was a PG?

if he was SG, this guy would be averaging 30ppg. Either that or get better players around him. His wing players are pretty garbage by "almost" contending status.

Deng has known to be lacking focus at points during a game.

Stuckey would average 25+

Out of all the games he started at SG when Rip and BG were injured I'm sure he averaged around 25 PPG.

He plays MUCH better of the ball. His talent is being held back because he is playing PG.

They would be worse if they switched the position. They are who they are is because that is the position they are best suited at.

If they would be better at other position, coaches would switch their position but there is a reason they play the position they are playing right now.
