I just read on a Puerto Rico newspaper that the Mets and D'backs are talking about a deal that has Beltran - Reyes - Mejia going to the D 'backs for Upton and Drew. The article just names those guys. Have no idea if anybody else would be involved. Take this this FWIW. Here is the article( in spanish ) .

In these type of things, I'd say about LoL/10

It doesn't even have who wrote it, so I can gauge how serious this could be, and considering the site that shall not be named has nothing on this, I'm pretty sure it's BS. Also, what kind of sense would this make for the DBacks?

the Diamondbacks are trying to cut salary, not add to it. isk if this is a joke or some reporter trying to make a name for himself, but this is stupid and does not make sense

This deal would make no sense whatsoever for the Backs.

Moot point as sounds like BS anyways.

The Diamondbacks would definitely do this trade. I mean, two guys in the last years of their contracts, one coming off serious knee issues and the other with chronic leg problems, making $28 million combined, and a prospect the Mets might have ruined by rushing and then wasting in the bullpen, for their two best young, cheap players? How can you pass that up?

heres teh article translated to english...

For the moment it is a rumor, but to become a reality could become the megacambio of Major League this offseason, since lead mobilization Carlos Beltran and Jose Reyes out of the New York Mets .

It was learned yesterday that the Mets, a team that recently named Terry Collins as their new manager, are considering various alternatives for changes to the two most valuable players on their roster Caribbean.

In one, center fielder and shortstop Reyes Beltran could be sent to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for outfielder Justin Upton and shortstop Stephen Drew. The Mets also sent as a supplement to change the pitcher Jenrry Mejía, considering the high pay that has the contract boricua.

Meanwhile, another scenario mentioned during the past weekend is the possibility that the Mets Beltran change to the Texas Rangers, although this option is not mentioned potential players to be exchanged.

What does seem clear is that the Mets appear to be willing to give up the intention to compete for success with the trio had formed with Beltran, Reyes and third baseman David Wright.

Affected by injury, Beltran and Reyes have lost considerable playing time in the past two seasons. And the Mets in two years has been fatal.

The 2011 season, incidentally, is the last of Beltran as their current contract. Meanwhile, Reyes is also emerging as a potential free agent face to 2012, given that just signed a year was agreed as an option for 2011.

Taking flight the exchange alternative to franchises of Arizona, which incidentally has offered the former Mets general manager, Omar Minaya, a position as assistant general manager Kevin Towers, the Mets would acquire two more players Reyes and Beltran economic.

Upton, who was the first pick in the 2005 Rookie Sweepstakes is signed at a good price for five seasons and only Drew is eligible for arbitration until 2013.

Reyes, meanwhile, will win in 2011 totaling $ 11 million and $ 18.5 million Beltrán
