I think you know this, but if you're a great PG you don't need a superstar to get more assists and points. Yes it helps, but people who say Rondo needs the big 3 and Westbrook needing KD are wrong. Those 2 would still be an elite PG without them

What I meant by that is that he is clearly looking for his teammates completely right now. It seems like he's fine with being a pass first PG tonight, because he's just passing like a monster right now.

I see what you thought I was saying, but it's not what I meant. I was referring more to his mentality in the game.

The Heat's best player (in your opinion) with another stellar performance...

3 pts on 1-11 shooting (1-3 FT's), 2 rebs, 5 asts and 5 turnovers, while Brandon Rush and co. abuse him on the other end all night. Wade needs to wake the **** up, this team (and especially Wade) look lost out there.

He's a Spur. TP would be considered immortal if he played for a market like NY or LA. When healthy and playing to their potential (which is fairly often), Manu and TP are both about as good as it gets for their respective positions.

Wade with 2 more missed FT's. 1-5 from the line now. Hopefully this is some lingering wrist issue (though it's on his left hand, and he's a righty), because this is sad. Probably the worst game of his career?

Home fans are booing the Heat loudly right now. This is awesome.

I know the Heat have problems at the 4-5 spot, and the pg spot...but the biggest problem IMO with the Heat is this... they need one guy to be "the guy". Just as Jordan was the guy on Chicago, Kobe the guy in LA, and Shaq before him. IMO they don't know who that guy is, and when you don't have heirarchy on a team it doesn't work. Lebron, or Wade have to sit down with each other... enough of this taking turns stuff it doesn't work. That's why Chicago was so great with MJ, kobe and Shaq in LA both wanted to be the guy so bad that they often fought over it... but you know what they went to 4 finals and won 3. Not bad.

I just think the reigns have to go to Lebron or Wade... someone has to accept it and be a true leader on that team. IMO Miami will be a dominant team if they do this.

Spurs announcers are pretty annoying. Not quite Celtic level, but they definitely don't tuck in their Spur jerseys when the sit down at the announcer's table.

Good game though. These two teams are so even. The Magic are dominating the glass, and that might be the ultimate decider.

You know that aint happening. Wade will always assume the Heat is his team and Lebron, well, you know the size of his ego..he ain't taking a backseat to no one. This is what we all said when this whole thing came together that there will be issues about who's team this is. You think Lebron is regretting going to Miami? lol..the absolute worse sports town and the worst fans, the NBATV announcer was just saying it. If he went to NY he would've undoubtedly become the face of that franchise and if he came to Chicago, the same thing because D-Rose would've gladly taken the Robin role if it meant winning.

ManRam
11-22-2010, 11:00 PM
4 bench points from Miami is just terrible too.

Losing Haslem is going to cripple them. He's a leader. He plays with emotion. And he's good. Someone's gotta step up.

And switching back to the actual two elite teams playing right now, Dwight's left hand is seriously the most improved body part in the league this year.

Miami's 3 players just can't play great at the same time. Bosh plays good and then Wade stinks. Lebron and Wade play well and Bosh stinks. But Lebron wanted it this way...

ChI_ShIzzLe
11-22-2010, 11:03 PM
Nah. Why would you want Wade when you have Rose, makes no sense to me. Both need the ball.

Because Rose is what Wade or Lebron isn't, which is a true PG. He wouldn't have cared about scoring if either of those guys played with him, they would've clearly been the primary scorer. Right now between Wade and Lebron, these guys want their points, which is the problem.

I don't want to hear people bash LeBron's passion and leadership abilities anymore. You can see it in every game he plays. There's only so much one man can do.

I agree. I'm going to blame everyone on that team before I get to LeBron. He's doing everything, and anything. He's changing his game depending on what the team needs from him. Some nights he'll try to score, some nights he'll distribute, some nights he'll take a back seat to Wade and/or Bosh. Every night he plays hard and gets after it on both ends.

He hasn't been perfect; there are still some chemistry issues. But he seems to be the only one showing passion most of the time, and I find my self saying that frequently.

Milicic is looking good. Really good. His post-passing is as good as any big in the league, and his offense in general is oozing with confidence right now.

No doubt about that. I'm not hating on Bosh, I think he's a great player but he clearly isn't a guy that you can rely on to bang in the paint and be a monster on the boards every night. Noah would make any PFs job much easier because they wouldn't have to worry about defending the other team's best post player and having to grab every rebound. You will see when Boozer returns how much better he'll be playing alongside Noah, thats one of the reasons he signed here.

Alright, we pulled it out. I don't know what we have against blow outs, but this game should have been a blowout.

The good thing for OKC is, in any close game where they have the lead near the end of the game, they will win. Almost every time. They shoot nearly 90% as a g'damn team from the stripe.

In two of his last five games, he went 16/16 from the line. At 22, he probably has the best combination of drawing contact/hitting the FT as anyone in NBA history. It's surgical.

Just saw a fun stat on Blake Griffin: Since 1977, only 3 players have posted 40pts+ 15rbs+ games as a rookie; Shaq, David Robinson and MJ.

Just looked at the Spurs season by season over the duration of them as a franchise; in 44 seasons (including their pre San-Antonio days in the ABA), the Spurs have missed the playoffs just FIVE times. As a W's fan, that makes me sick.

No fan is confident after getting handed a 26 point loss. Just like the Pacers beat Miami, anything can happen. Plus don't you think they are going to be fired up after losing to two sub-par teams? And they don't want to lose a 3rd game to their rival.

The Spurs are a damn good 3 point shooting team, and we basically live and die with it. I do think the Lakers will be the favorites, just for the fact they are good and back to back champs. My point was just that I kept seeing people say we were done (like usual) specially because we didnt have a super hard schedule early on, I was just curious to see if people still thought that now even though we have beaten the Thunder/Jazz/Magic, and only loss to the Hornets..who we are tied for the best record in the league.

You guys definitely outplayed us, but even moreso outcoached us, Dwight had 22pts in the first 3 quarters and took two shots in the 4th.
