I am skeptical UW will beat Kentucky. We were on fire versus Virginia, so hopefully that doesn't mean we go cold vs KU. I would love to see the Huskies stomp KU and Terrance Jones along with the other freshman that ditched UW at the last second and signed with Kentucky.

Anyways, can't wait for this game!

Great win for my young Cats so early in the season. I can't believe we won will Miller and Knight on the bench for the last 10 minutes of the first half. UConn shoud be another great game and another great challenge trying to contain Kemba Walker.

PS: I guess Terrence Jones knew what he was doing after all. LOL And I didn't hear any Husky fans crying when Ross and Gaddy signed with them after already being verbally committed to Maryland and Arizona.

^ True... But, you have to keep in mind two of UW's recruits this season came from same school as Jones. It was thought they'd all be a packaged deal, apparently not. Plus, he is a local kid.

Too bad Thomas struggled all game against Kentucky. I'm surprised the game was even that close when the best player in the Pac-10 has such a poor game.

Package deals rarely come to fruition. Signed Terrence Ross and Terrence Jones, Patrick Patterson and Jai Lucas, Doron Lamb and Josh Selby, etc. etc. etc.. It sounds great to say you want to play with your buddy but in the end each player has to do what is best for them. If I was a parent I would never allow my kid to make a decision at a ceremony with his friends that were signing the same day or for that matter at a public setting period. Too many emotions can run through a 17 year old kid that effect what he really wants to do. Actually if I was a parent of a top notch kid I woulnt allow him to sign a LOI with anyone, just sign scholarship papers then if a coaching change or something else changes you're not bound to a team. I predict that we will see a lot of that in the future, the LOI only favors the school, not the player.

If my Cats would start shooting FT's up to their ability we could save me a few grey hairs. LOL

I have to make a thread because Kemba Walker had one of the greatest stretches of games and was so impressive. They beat both Michigan St. and Kentucky in back to back nights. These Huskies were ranked 10th in the Big East.

Will be Top 15 in the next poll. Mark it down! As a UConn student, I love the way the team is playing this year. Last year, Stanley, Gavin, Jerome made bball look like a job. This year, Niels, Shabazz, Roscoe, AO, and especially Kemba are making it look FUN. Just FUN. I LOVE IT!

I grew up in CT and spent 18 years there before moving to NC. Pretty much my entire 2005 high school class went there UCONN. This reminds me of the Ray Allen team to be honest with you.

Should be in top 15, I'm expecting somewhere from 9-13. As you said, this year the team is having fun while last year they didn't look like they wanted to be here. The talent was there last year but not the hustle which we have this year for sure. Great tournament win!

Everyone is talking about Kemba Walker, and rightfully so, but what about Alex Oriakhi? This kid is beasting right now, averaging 13.4 points, 12 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game. We may have another Emeka Okafor on our hands at UConn.

Yeah, I'm really enjoying the way he's playing. Also becoming a helluva leader along with Kemba

UConn really surprised me. I am not really upset about early season losses because I know where MSU will be sitting come tourney time. Happy as hell that Kentucky didn't win it I wish we could have played them. Anytime the dirtiest coach in college (Calipari) loses it is a good thing.

I had so much respect for UK's program until they hired Calipari. When Tubby ran it they did it just like MSU. Hard nosed basketball with a good figure at the head and great teams.

Yea, thats the problem, everyone loved us when Tubby was there because we sucked. LOL No seriously, I loved Tubby as a person and as a coach representing the University of Kentucky but his recruiting was absolutely horrible the last few years. I still think its funny that the main reason Tubby had trouble with the University was because he refused to replace any of his coaching staff with staff that could recruit better yet when he went to Minnesota he didn't take any of them with him. He knew they weren't getting it done on the recruiting trail at all but he was loyal to a fault. Now that we are back to getting a lot of the recruits that everyone else wants again we are hated again. I prefer to be hated if the alternative is that we suck. LOL

Don't worry, this team will be fine by March and next year we could quite possibly be the favorite to win it all with next years class coming in and seemingly not as many 1 and done's as last years team. If the appeals committee lets Enes come back then the sky is the limit this season.

I think the main reason people don't like Cal is because of the allegation, whether he was cleared by the NCAA or not. Either way, he's had 2 Final Fours completely wiped out. Also, I don't like his revolving door of 1-and-done players.

And I wouldn't necessarily say "the sky is the limit" for UK this season. Your team is SOOO young. My UConn team is incredibly young yet we beat you by 15+ points. Knight needs to learn how to run an offense versus be a scorer. If these guys aren't 1-and-dones, maybe next year will be the year, but this year will be a learning year (but still probably a Sweet 16)

You actually think Walker is going to keep playing out of his mind? Kemba Walker is a heck of a player but right now he is in a zone and is stupid good, I don't see him being able to maintain that for the entire season. You beat us by 15+ with Jones in foul trouble the entire game and Lamb and Knight having terrible shooting nights. You give us Enes Kanter, by all means just as good as Sullinger for Ohio State, and yea, I'll say the sky is the limit. As is I would say that Elite 8 is the most we can hope for and probably as you said, Sweet 16.

Of course I don't think Walker will keep this up, but I also see Oriakhi stepping up big, a guy that didn't do much at all last year.

What I meant to say is that I think you guys are too young to win it all this year, but next year you'll give people a helluva run for the championship.
