View Full Version : Now does everyone believe that there is no such thing as a Boston "Big Three" anymore

They did absolutely NOTHING on offense without Rondo... Its a shame that they put the team in the palm of his hands to where they cant score against a team missing two of their three best players and dont have much size down low... No Rondo=10 minutes without a basket Boston has a Big ONE which is Rondo

Im sorry but thats sad... But does everyone agree now?

I'll still take that "no such thing as a Boston 'Big Three' anymore" over any other big 3 in the NBA

No. Obviously the big three refers to the three stars that Ainge assembled in 2008. It's also a reference to the original big 3 of Bird, McHale and Parrish. Everyone knows that since 2008 Rondo has become more important. Doesn't change the fact that the big three was re-coined in 2008 to describe KG, Allen and Pierce, a worthy big 3 if we ever saw one.

Yeah, he broke both his ankles trying to guard Westbrook during the first three quarters.

The term "Big Three" hasn't made sense for the past 2 years, ever since Rondo has been there best player.

They were down 10 when Rondo was playing...

All this game showed me is that if the Big 3 isn't on, Rondo is just another guy. He needs them, unlike a russel westbrook who can carry his team.

By going 0 for 6 in the 4th? Both teams choked hard, Boston just choked harder

So there's no big 3 because of one bad stretch in one game? I agree that Rondo is the most important player on the Celtics, but your statement comes off as hyperbolic and genuinely ignorant.

Really? does this really need to be a thread? again people show no respect to boston! its only one freaking game get over it

its obvious rondo makes the big 3 better and they make him better, but no boston can play, even when rondo is out they have a solid bench and it was just one stretch of one game

The big 3 in boston are Shaquilla, Jermainy, and Kendra.

It's pretty crazy if you think about it that they have four sure-fire future Hall of Famers, yet their best player is none of the four. That's how good their roster is.

The "Big Three" term doesn't make sense anymore, since Rondo is their best player.

yeah, boston looked lost without rondo, but that was the case already last season, i hope west can take some more load for them when rondo isnt on the floor

I definitely think Rondo is the best player on the Celtics now and the most important. However, I think it was just an off game. That said, I was pretty shocked they lost at home to OKC minus Durant and Green.

Im sorry but an actual "Big Three" should be able to put the ball in the basket atleast once when its crunch time against a lineup like OKC with Durant and Green out

Thats just absurd... Say they were off but I guaruntee you they would have crushed OKC in that last ten minutes if Rondo had played

I might add that West played sum tough D on Westbrook in the closing minutes
