The last time they renegotiated the cba they let every team buy out one players contract without it counting against the cap. Would you like to see them do that again? Some possible buyouts might be:
Wizards - Gilbert Arenas
Sixers - Elton Brand
Suns - Hedo Turkoglu
Detroit - Ben Gordan/Charlie V
Clippers - Barron Davis
Kings - Samuel Dalembert
Hornets - Emeka Okafor
Bulls - Luol Deng
The CBA will expire following the 201011 season, but the league has the option to extend it through the 201112 season if it wishes. If so, the League must exercise its option to extend the agreement by December 15, 2010.

The KD Wizards need to buy out Kurt Heilman's contract too, a player like him deserves to be on a contending team and hell just be wasting away as a backup or an unnatural two guard for the next 2 years. I wish i could say Minneapolis/LA Lakers could sign him, but we've got the pg filled (unless Phish retires), plus even with Machinist and Bill Walter Jr's contracts end, we still over Luxury. We should take opportunity to buy out colby's redunktashishly horrendous contract (30 mil when he'll be a Jason Terry player in a few years??). If Lakers wanted to show colby respect, they should have payed him under the table with tied up women in his basement, or a lifetime supply of mocha almond fudge ice cream, but this is a business not a porno where everyone sucks each other off. Even Jeter wont get a contract that ridiculous from the Bronx Bummers. Oh no, years of irrelevance and colby trade demands in the near future! no mamas wuey

Didn't it count towards the cap, but just not towards the luxury tax?

Edit: also, Sammy D is an expiring.
