View Full Version : How do you speed up the game by stopping it?

They talk about speeding up the game and having score fests but how can you do this by giving a guy a "T" who is talking to his coach or stopping the game to check if a shot is a 2 or 3 during play? I understand making the right call is important but they use to mark the play so, during a tv or team timeout, they could verify (or if it's in the last minute).

The Technicals are ridiculous because I'd say 8/10 are unwarranted and 2/3 that should be called aren't. It's like they forgot the spirit of the rule which is people are tired of seeing guys berate refs mercilessly or Tim Duncan's trademark look (I think he should get one per game because it IS trademarked). During a Celtic - Heat game the announcer was asking for consistency when Nate Robinson got a tech for talking to Doc Rivers where Lebron James complained about a call for 5-10 seconds and got nothing.
