to put the debate to an end... there are two main reasons why the HEAT house looks empty:
1. The biggest reason is scalping. A lot of the tickets were bought out by people and groups looking to scalp, b/c that is legal down here. The result is... a 40 dollar ticket costs 130 bucks...
2. The Latin crowd is late for EVERYTHING. It is a phenomenon known as "cuban time." No matter what is going on in Miami, the Latin crowd always tends to be late.

bonus reason- traffic and parking is a NIGHTMARE!

Who cares about the crowd. You guys will hate on anything and everything.

They have 100% attendance this season. Sure, there have been times where the crowd looks pretty desolate, but who cares. It doesn't affect the team.

Touching on Daleja's point, I read an article the other day about scalping and how bad it is in Miami. It is a problem.

Okay, commence LeBron bashing for embellishing. GO! Go for the kill!

The Suns do look a bit tired today...but Miami's ball movement is the best it's been all year. It's an overrated word with this team, but their "chemistry" looks perfect tonight. A lot of bang-bang passing...and not as much isolation and watching.

LeBron's stat line is going to be absolutely insane tonight.

People really don't understand sarcastic remarks.

Not when it's pro-Heat; no one wants any part of that.

Bosh isn't as bad as he's been all year, obviously, and he's not as good as he's playing tonight, obviously. Again, people just are so eager to rip these Heat players apart that any chance they get, they will. Bosh is another prime example. When he plays poorly, it's because he sucks and is overrated. When he plays well, it's because of the competition. We're all going to have to get used to this.

And this is coming from a notorious Bosh doubter.

I dont think anyone has ben critical of Bosh's scoring on here. Most negative comments were because he wasn't rebounding and wasn't playing defense.

The only reason people are quick to point out the Heat flaws on PSD is because Heat fans had outrageous predictions for their team/players both statistically and wins/championships.

Anyone who doubted such predictions were deemed jealous haters.

Em this game Phoenix had 37 FT, Miami 25, I doubt they are 1st as they should ofc. LeBron got a call once for just running behind the player and doing nothing. What about other games when LeBron or any other player makes a contact and ref's dont call a foul? Ex: LeBron got his headband knocked of while driving to basket and there was no call. I just see situations like this every game and it pisses me off.

ManRam
11-17-2010, 10:50 PM
its even more amazing when you consider they dont have a post prescence. they outshot the lakers by 20 ft most games in the playoffs.

Durant is probably the most aggressive player in the league. He gets to the line a ton because he's the best penetrator in the league now that LeBron is more of a facilitator than before. Russy is just as aggressive.

Big men don't usually get fouled as much as wing scorers do. Except for Dwight Howard, the most prolific FT shooters are perimeter players who attack, attack, and attack.

Getting to the line the most does not correlate with getting the most calls. The players that consistently get to the line the most do so because they deserve it at their aggressive attacking puts the defense in bad situations. It's easier to not foul a big man when he's posting you up. It's much harder not to foul a SG/SF coming at you full speed.

So OKC's lack of a post presence, and their subsequent FT-prowess doesn't really surprise me. The most prolific FT players are often wing scorers.

With that said, Miami does lead the league...and that's how it should be. LeBron and Wade are two of the three most aggressive players in the league, and amazing at creating contact and forcing defenses to defend on their heals.

Chris Paul really is a phenomenal player. I just love watching a guy so small in stature dominate games. He was so instrumental in that third quarter to give the Hornets the lead.

18 points (7-10 FG, 2-2 3PT) to go along with 9 assists and only 1 turnover at the end of the third.

After Bron, he's comfortably my favorite player in the league.

Thunder are only 23-27 from the line right now? Must be an off night.

Too bad Ibaka got in foul trouble tonight; he was poised for another double double with 4+ blocks tonight. He'll still prob get it.

Khalifa21
11-17-2010, 11:05 PM
I kinda wish for the Clippers sake, that Baron Davis and Chris Kaman stayed injured for the whole season, because their current starting lineup should be their team for the future.

PG: Eric Bledsoe
SG: Eric Gordon
SF: Al-Farouq Aminu
PF: Blake Griffin
C: DeAndre Jordan

If that team could develop chemistry, they could be really dangerous with the inside/outside game of Griffin/Gordon.

I really like that team.

But yeah, I think Miami will end up being the top free throw shooting team in the league in terms of attempts when the season is over.

Thunder are only 23-27 from the line right now? Must be an off night.

Too bad Ibaka got in foul trouble tonight; he was poised for another double double with 4+ blocks tonight. He'll still prob get it.

I don't think so. We're starting to really pull away so I think Brooks might let the bench close this one out.

Westbrook and Krstic are the only starters in right now, but we'll see what Brooks decides to do.

Early in the season and those numbers will change a bit (Durant's will grow), but that just shows you (numbers wise) how much more productive they've been with him on the court this season.

With some of the nut hugging that goes on in these forums I thought that might have been a controversial statement. The guy is unreal. Every 18 footer feels guaranteed when it comes out of his hands.

Just saw an "official tweet" that Greg Odon is OFFICIALLY DONE FOR THE SEASON.

Jesus Christ. Poor kid/old man's career is finished before its started.

"Is he a bust?" No, he's not. We'll never know what he was.

WOW at this game between Dallas and New Orleans by the way. I thought their first one (a few days ago) might've been the best of the season, and this one is right there.

98-97 New Orleans, Dallas ball with 6 seconds on the clock.

As much as the Knicks annoy me, i've been really happy with Bill Walker recently. Him and Fields have been two positive aspects of the team i've been happy as hell with.

It makes me a lot more comfortable about giving up Chandler (if needs be) to get hold of Melo. I'd much rather trade Gallo and Randolph, but Fields and Walker have made me feel better about the two spot.

How long before the Chris Bosh: "He [coach] wants to work, we just wanna chill. So we're gonna have to find a way to meet halfway" line is its own thread? Or did I miss it already. Picked a good night to say it, being that he beasted and they crushed the Suns, but still. What a pathetic attitude and/or terrible choice of words by him.

better be a case of poor word choice...

my best spin would be this... Spo has them grinding every day in practice and Bosh thinks it is going to wear on them as time moves on unless they slow the pace down a little...

I am pretty sure he didn't mean what it literally means now. Just a choice of bad phrases. Poor bosh.

I can't believe it. Whenever Chris Bosh has been talked about I've said he's just having growing pains, and that he'll pick it up eventually. When he did have a big scoring night, I forgot to update the starting line-up on my fantasy team and I lost all his production last night

I lost Manu Ginobili's and DeMarcus Cousins' too
