Now the Lakers are very thin that the 4-5 positions. They have no true center active on the roster and Andrew Bynum probably is still at least 10 days away from coming back. Rumors are that the Lakers are looking at vet bigman Eric Dampier as posible help.

There is no rumor that the Lakers are looking at Dampier... it was just suggested by people...

I hate this post. Superstars are not the only important players. Some people follow the League closely.

This should be in the Lake forum, I think everyone knows that. And even tho we're a little thin at the 4 and 5 we'll be fine and other players like the rook will step up and hopefully noone else gets injured...

What Mavs fans said that? They should slap themselves... Now with Chandler and Haywood that makes senses.... But anyone saying Dampier is better than 30 out of 100 is nonsense.....

Dampier makes a good backup center for the Lakers already stacked frontline 7 footers (Odom, Gasol, and Bynum [in 4 weeks])

We arent exactly expecting a Dwight Howard for backup center. I mean, Jesus, Ratliff was doing his role and he's a near 40 year old center. We won the championship with Mbenga as backup center last year...

Maybe the Knicks can give us Turiaf back, we have 6 million Sasha expiring to work off of.

That would be great, I love Turiaf's energy and hustle, what a great locker room guy.

And I bet Dan Tony wants more 3 point shooters.

Who gives a ****. It's Theo Ratliff.

I'm inclined not to really give a **** either...

But with Bynum already out, their front court is beyond thin right now. The Lakers will HAVE to make a move...

I mean, who else do they have now that can play the 4 or 5? Caracter?

This completely eliminates the Lakers for contending for the Championship(maybe even the playoffs)....This is far worse than the Lakers losing Kobe Bryant.

No one follows Theo Ratliff closely. Don't think anyone has in the past 5 years.

The bigger news is that LA is thinner at center.
Pau can still hold his own though and they won't miss a beat.
Supposedly, Dampier is not in basketball shape, so any team going after him will have to be patient with him

Bynum will be fully practising this weekend, so I'm sure they'll make it without Ratliff for a few weeks.
