View Full Version : What If Miami Had To Choose

What if a scenario came about with the new CBA where teams could only have two max contracts. Do you think they would trade Bosh, D Wade, or LBJ. Its just a thought.

Bosh IMO.

Miami is Wade's and you wouldn't ever get fair value for Lebron.

Bosh it was a huge mistake signing all 3 you need room for roll players that can hit open shots

Bosh is overpaid, would it even be that easy to move that contract?

Bosh, no question. No way we trade Wade or Lebron. I would consider trading Bosh regardless of what happens with the CBA.

Yeah. I agree.

Bosh's trade value is likely higher then his actual value (in my opinion)

The main problem is that some teams won't trade with the Heat. I can guarantee that the Heat won't be able to add any pieces (C or PG) this year that could make a major impact.

 Thats your opinion. Plenty of stupid GM's out there, and if a team can improve they will consider the trade.

hahaha when I read the post, I imagine it's Paul Millsap saying it about bosh.... hell, they'd be better with millsap instead of bosh... and have some coin left over to fill a deficiency somewhere else

I've been calling them 'The Big 2 1/2' for months. Lmao @ people who thought they could compete. 'Oh, but they're friends. They can play together'. Men beat the women they 'love' everyday. Trust me these 3 egotistical clowns all want the spotlight. Especially LoLebron ***** ***.

Easily Bosh, Bosh should be traded today IMO He can't cut it, can't guard the bigs he needs to guard considering who miami has in the post, apparently forgot how to rebound during the off season and trading bosh brings in 2 or 3 decent-good role players to surround Lebron and Wade, I'd take that over a struggling power forward any day.

the thing that really pisses me off is that a bunch of heat fans thought that it was going to be a walk in the park to the finals. Every team that goes and plays them are going to try to beat them.

Change the PHX trade to Nash instead of Dragic and you may see that happen before the trade dead line with all the Nash trade talks circling about, and personally i'd love to see nash get a crack at a title!

that deal including J-Rich, Frye and Dragic..if that ever happened I would seriously become a damn clipper fan, for one..J-Rich and Bosh make about the same amount of money this year..add Frye and Dragic's six or seven and the deal wont work. I'm not even sure Bosh is better then Hakim Warrick at this point and I've always said Amare was better, and why would Miami want Nash..they are getting killed by the top PG"s in the league and Nash isn't known for his defensive prowess. IMO Miami is stuck with Bosh unless some bottom feeding team can put together a deal for him

Everybody would love to get rid of Bosh, but who would want an overpaid PF who doesnt defend on the low post? In the end if they dont win a title in two years, WHICH IS POSSIBLE. Im NOT saying it WILL happen, I think Queen James might want to leave

Bosh for Nash or Bosh for Scola, Battier, and Brooks would be best for the Heat.

Believe it or not, that's something that the Rockets would consider IMO. Of course there would have to be other parts moving also.

Besides trading him might make LeWade upset and god forbid if they get upset.

 Thats your opinion. Plenty of stupid GM's out there, and if a team can improve they will consider the trade.

Agreed that there are plenty of stupid GMs out there. But what does a stupid GM have to do with making a trade to improve a team (put another way, a stupid GM would make a trade that does not improve a team).

The Heat will have trouble making a trade to improve at PG or C (without moving one of the Big 3) because they don't have pieces to improve other teams. They have no cap room and gave up next year's first. The only way they could make a deal at those spots is to take on a bad long-term contract while giving up cap relief in the form of expirings and draft picks down the road. That seems fairly short sighted, and would not really address the problem because no decent PG or C will be available in that scenario (teams rarely if ever dump good players at those positions).

Also, why do you always facepalm? It just makes you look stupid (though I have tried to explain that before).

if the NBA does settle the CBA with some kind of hard cap that would keep the heat from affording all three contracts, it is not only miami that will be giving guys away trying to cut salaries.

Why is this a question?... Definitely Bosh.

Pierzynski4Prez
11-12-2010, 03:12 PM
Bosh will be traded from the Heat in the summer of 2012, or during the 12-13 season.

Reason why, in 2012, he will be making 17.5 mil as a 3rd option. For the 2012 season, the Heat already have 68 mil commited to 8 players, and 71 mill committed to only 6 players in 2013 (76 mil for same 6 players in 2014).

They will not be able to build a solid team around those 6 players (especially considering both Haslem and Mike Miller will be turning 34 that season). By that time, they will have added probably 2 MLE's. Those 2 MLE's will turn that 71 million into about 83 million for 2013, still committed to only 8 players.

With a new CBA coming up, and with teams losing money, I highly doubt Miami will be able to carry a 80+ million payroll come that time. Easiest thing to do is trade Bosh during 2012 for either expiring, or young talent still on rookie contracts.

11-12-2010, 03:28 PM
They would trade Bosh for Spencer Hawes, Jrue Holliday and Elton Brand at this point, and the Heat would be better for making the deal.

Unfortunately for Miami, Philly would not make that deal.

Lol what about Bosh for K Love or Bosh for Yao?

Hunter48MVP

Trade LeBron James. Chris Bosh could have been great with D-Wade alone.

RCarlson85
11-12-2010, 05:09 PM
Believe it or not, that's something that the Rockets would consider IMO. Of course there would have to be other parts moving also.

I would love to get Scola. He would be a great PF for the Heat and exactly what they need. He's tough, he rebounds, he plays D, and he can score.

I think getting K Love would also be sweet also. He seems to be having problems with the Wolves anyway.

All this trade talk is probably a little premature, but imagine if the Heat are still not playing up to their potential come February. I think it is a real possibility they might deal Bosh.
