While it may just be due to it being recent, I think Millsap's is more impressive based on the fact the man hit three 3-pointers despite him not being a threat from the perimeter; add to that the ridiculous tip-in at the buzzer and the scales fall more towards Millsap.

The one thing I'll give T-Mac's performance was that he closed out the game with a win without going into OT.

Both were spectacular though, nonetheless; however, I voted Millsap.

I just watched em both and McGrady's video blew my mind, I think it was the music. Millsap was crazy too but gotta give this one to T-Mac.

What I'm more confused about is why it isn't a sellout at the Miami Heat game?

T-Mac's, but it's really close

Tmac.. he had one of the best defenders on him.. plus an and one and it's a done deal

Probably T-Mac because it won the game, but Millsap's was still amazing.

because the Heat were up by 8 points with 37 seconds left. The building was starting to clear out. Traffic is a *****. Who knew that Utah (Millsap) would go nuts?

T-Mac's

It won the game and he had one of the best perimeter defenders in the league at the time draped all over him. Millsap hit two open three's, a semi contested one and an easy put back layup. Impressive, but not even close to what T-Mac achieved.

Millsap because of what team he did it against. His is also better because you would have never expected that from Millsap.

I'm at the crossroads with this one. I'll go with T-Mac though because I'm the defender on him and that awesome 4 point play.

Uh didn't McGrady do it against the 04-05 Spurs who had the best defense in the league and won the NBA finals? Pretty sure they were a better team than these Heat.

And you expect Tmac to get 13 points in 33 seconds against the best peremeter deffenders at that time?

Millsap, because he had more points per second

Millsap: 0.393 pts/sec
T-Mac: 0.371 pts/sec

T-Mac's. Milsap was spot up shooter on all those shots. Tmac was run-up 3's, a 4pt play over Duncan, and a game winning run-up 3.

TMAC because it was against a team who had great defense.

Both are amazing. Millsap's last 3 with the defender all over him and off balance was amazing, and his offensive rebound to tie was amazing. But D-Will did the ball handling and distributing, where as McGreedy, er.. McGrady (sorry, I'm a Raptors fan) created his own shots, and that last three on the run was jaw dropping. But yeah, its VERY close!

I'll still take Thomas's 16 points in about a minute and a half, because it was a play-off game.

slight edge on tmac because he had one of the best man on man defenders ive soon in a long time on him and shoot outta his mind plus it doesnt hurt to hit the game winner either
but i still like millsap though but vote goes to tmac

I'd say Tmac. Better defensive team and the shots were far more difficult than that of Milsaps. Plus, his won the game. I got chills watching that.
Milsap was definetly impressive, but Tmacs I think was a bit better.

never saw that milsap one but damn that is nice, but i gotta say tmac for a couple of reasons, it was on tnt, i actually watched that full game and everyone at my bus stop was going crazy over it, and like someone pointed out, it was a gamewinner, but its debatable, damn millsap lol

Wow. I'm not sure whether it's better than T-Mac's effort, but still brilliant. Millsap is a star.

It's a tough one. Both are amazing in their own rights. Millsap played off the ball and nailed 3's that NO ONE would expect considering his skill set. T-MAC single-handily came down the court and nailed 3 after 3. I don't even know. Flipped a coin and heads came, went with Millsap.

I put T-Mac because he took more control. Yes, Millsap's was impressive, but T-Mac was just unconscious. Going at the best perimeter defender in the league, nailing off balance threes, making the leagues best PF and most fundamentally sound player commit a cardinal sin...T-Mac was the only guy on the floor that mattered during his sequence.

Millsap, OTOH, whie incredible, owes a lot to Deron. Williams set him up nicely and he nailed a few set shots. What I am about to say doesn't do credit to his feat, but there are guys on my intramural team who can nail three open treys in a row.

Both are incredible, both are clutch, but T-Mac dominated just a bit more.

My favourite was always this.......

9 points in 9 seconds (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhCy8q2p5Jw)

That beats the T-Mac/Millsap points per second easily.

Bucsfan
11-11-2010, 04:23 AM
both were great but i say millsap...yes im biased its just all the factors that went into it...tip in for the tie...3 3 pointers when he made 2 in the last 4 years against the supposed best team in the east (according to some at least)

what made it even better for jazz fans is that sundiata gaines did this to lebron last year in utah...last second heroics

mathematically speaking, during their scoring stretch (millsap with 11 in 28 sec and tmac with 13 in 35 sec) millsaps is more impressive by a hair. during his 28 sec. burst he was averaging about .3928 points per second, while mcgrady was averaging .3714 points per second in his 35 sec. burst of scoring. millsap was better by .0214 points per second.

Funny how now he can barely score 13 points in a week.

x2. Degree of difficulty was a lot higher on McGrady's comeback. It's just fun that we can even have a debate. I never thought we'd have anything close to that. JJH brought up the great Isiah game and LeBron got filthy in one game. I highly recommend looking up Isiah and LeBron's clips on youtube.

Umm McGrady's was probably the better one due to the voice of Marv Albert. I mean the Jazz commentators weren't that great. I mean I watched that game live on TNT and I remember Marv saying "McGrady for the win". Good stuff.

The Heat are a top 2 favorite to win it all this year.
