Going into last nights game against the Lakers Love was averaging about 17 points and 11 rebounds in only 27 minutes a game. Last night against the lakers, who are one of the best rebounding teams, Love played max minutes but he put up 23 points and 24 rebounds. That is just amazing.

Just because he beat up on our fellow Lakers does not mean he is the best big man in the game... did you watch any of the game last night? The Lakers played terribly. Now, that is not to take away from Kevin Love's effort and obvious talent, but... he is not the best big man in the game. Not even close.

Dwight
Gasol
Duncan
Dirk
Amar'e

to name a few. He is very talented though and Rambis should probably be playing him more minutes but just because he tore apart our Lakers does not mean he's all of the sudden the best big in the game.

Blair had two 20/20 games as a rookie..while its impressive, Love has a bit to go.

I will say I do love Love's game..no pun intended. He is very talented and a smart player, and will only continue to get better IMO.

This is why they want to cut costs and just merge the NBA forum with the soon to be Insane Juveniles forum.

Love is arguably the best rebounder in the game and if given 35 minutes a night, he could be grabbing about 15 RPG. As for best big man, he's still got a long way to go.

Hawkeye15

maybe down the line he could be, but right now, he is only a great rebounder, outlet passer, and is awesome at getting his shot blocked.
Love is limited athletically to the degree that being the best big in the league will probably never be possible. But he could be Brad Miller on steroids basically once his career takes off

No. when a team is really bad the best player always shines.

Not even close, Probably not even top 10 right now, seriously I can't even begin to understand where you may have come up with this thought. Might as well say this, is Emeka Okafor the best shooter in the league? Over the first 7 games his FG% is 72.7%. I'm sure the guy who started this thread will answer yes.

Is Z-Bo the best big in the game? because I can garuntee he has more 20/20 games this year than Love

Double_R

He is the only person that rebounds on a bad team... this is a joke of a thread... If we are talking about 20/20 games then Dwight had 3 in a 5 game series against the Raptors and Bosh. I have second hand embarrassment for the thread creator.

I'd probably go with the guy who is coming off back to back seasons with leading the NBA in Blocks, Rebounds, and last year FG%.

you know the Wolves are the best rebounding team in the NBA currently, right? Love's rebound rate wouldn't be effected by anyone but the top of the top rebounders. And their's would suffer greatly next to him.
Sorry, but I have to defend his one elite skill that won't be effected no matter his surroundings

he is a great rebounder, but he is not the best.

he still has a long way to go, to be one of the elite big men.

whats there to argue? theres no reason he shouldnt have 48mins a night i mean who is on minnesota? every one knows who the best rebounder is.......since you seem to not know he resides in orlando

Wolves fan obviously, best bigman? no way, but he is a very good one, and is only 21 years old. Btw, on the psd's top 10 PF's list, no idea how Klove doesnt crack that.

lol, by years end, if he is getting the same minutes as D12 is, i wouldnt be surprised if Klove is close to surpassing D12, and is only 21 years old like i stated in my previous post.

yeah man perennial mvp candidate every year no? oh wait he's not....calm yourself... kids young, the team sucks... it'll take time but if he can life the t-wolves from the basement we can maybe think of having the conversation...

this is still open?

Yes, he is better than Dwight, Bogut, Gasol, etc combined

^the team struggles against the likes of Hawks, Lakers, Grizzlies (really on the rise), Heat, Magic. Damn, why didnt we win those games? We are a young team, we have 10 new different players, our average age is 24.6 or something like that, the youngest team in the NBA, with all that happening, its bound to happy that we will struggle sometimes.

well, I think its pretty clear that we all agree that while Love is a great rebounder, with some nice potential, its borderline laughable to consider him the top big in the NBA
