Exactly what I've been preaching, it's way to early in the season to judge them. Jennings is finally having a good game, I've been complaining about his shooting for a while now.

Yeah man, I've watched all of their games so far. I really do think they have a brigt future but it will definitely take some time. The Knicks might sneak in to the layoffs as thr 6,7 or 8 seed but the real progress will come this upcoming summer. Even if you don't get Carmelo, there are other things that will get done.

It is frustrating though, because they have solid talent, they just have no plan when their 3-ball isn't falling. Does D'antoni not know how to post Amar'e on the block?

J4KOP99

Ouch, hope he's ok.

His tailbone is going to be sore as all hell for at least a week, if he isn't actually injured. That was a tough one. Poor dude's probably thinking, "this is why I only shoot threes".

Lebron's 2 rebounds away from a triple-double

And they're only up 1... that's the problem with the Heat. Against good teams(meaning not the Nets or Sixers) the big 3 will have to have huge games to win. They're supporting cast has been non-existent tonight.

11-09-2010, 10:40 PM
Well, LeBron came back in, probably sooner than Spo would have liked...and they're putting the game away now.

I can't imagine them losing many, if any close games down the stretch once the offense starts to gel some more. Too many closers and shooters.

And there's the triple double.

davids22
11-09-2010, 10:40 PM
Now Lebron needs one more rebound. But I agree. Their supporting cast needs to step up because you can't rely on Lebron to have a triple double every night

yes those numbers speak volumes for how one sided the officiating has been tonight. I mean, I dont mind the ticky tacky fouls on our end if they stay consistant and call them at both ends...but they dont.

congrats to Paul Millsap and his new career high!

eh - James Jones was doing his job before he went down (draining 3's), and Haslem his (boards). Lebron's having a great game overall, but he's having a rare off night shooting wise and putting up a 5/17. That, and some laziness defensively in the 3rd quarter after it started looking like a blowout accounts for this even closing up whatsoever.

Their supporting cast - especially when Miller comes back - is very good. They could use another large banger in the post, but besides that they're as talented top to bottom as any team could dream of.

Have to remember, this is just the beginning. Imagine in 3+ months, when they potentially have their full roster actually know how to play together? They don't lack a thing roster-wise that it takes to win a title, just a matter of if they can put it all together.

Given their rosters and how many FT's a guy like Wade, Lebron and Bosh generally take, that actually seems like a surprisingly small Heat total/discrepancy (widening now due to late intentionals by the Jazz). I know you're a Jazz fan jimbo, but you can't actually expect them to win a FT battle against the Heat, and it has nothing to do with the refs.

Because he's 10x softer than Gasol was, even when Gasol was 10 years old wearing a dress and heels. The guy is a joke, plain and simple, I firmly believe the only reason Miami got him is so that can ensure LeBron goes to Miami, because he was counting on Bosh moving to Cleveland

Does it really matter if the Heat win or lose? We already know that they're going to have one of the 3 best record in the east.

Yes, it matters - and don't act like it doesn't. Being a team that will relinquish a 22 pt 2nd half lead is not something you want on their resume.

That said, the fact that the Heat are struggling (relative to how dominant everyone is expecting them to be) a little bit early on is not something I'd be worried about if I were a Heat fan. Any team with that many roster changes is going to take a while to gel, but especially a team where the changes were that drastic.

They're still going to be a dominant team come the end of the season, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy watching them take some beats like this early on. Makes for a more entertaining story, and we get to see a few Heat homers eat a little crow (the though overbearing haters are probably more annoying, and now I have to see more of that drivel).

Stat of the night though: Millsap with 46. Al Jefferson? 2.

Actually it doesnt...

thats an example of the lakers giving up a 24 pt lead and that was in the finals. It happens thats what the guy was saying and it wont mean we wont still be playing in late june.

And the discrepency in millsap and jefferson just goes to show it wasnt chris bosh because he was on jefferson a majority of the time he played center and haslem was on milsap along with bosh. Millsap was just having one of those one in a blue moon monster games. I mean honestly he made 3 3pointers in a row with a hand in his face for a guy who doesnt take many 3's ever.

I still don't believe how Millsap made all those 3's.........

Certainly will be one of the most outstanding individual performances of the YEAR. He was unreal.

knick, laker, jazz fans are criticizing just as much.

I was just pointing out the bulls cause the page i was on had nothing but bulls posters baiting. But since u bring it up knicks cant say anything either they blow huge leads all the time and wont go far in the playoffs if even get in. Lakers blew a 24 point lead in the FINALS!! so they cant talk. Jazz fans have a right to brag it was a great game on their part but their delusional if they think millsaps night wasnt a career game u cant really criticize much if u win because your role player is getting shots to fall like that. Be happy and celebrate sure but not criticize the other team like there was very little that could be done.
