Similarity???

Noah and Rondo are so similar (for their respective positions).

They both are Heart and Soul of their respective teams.

They both won't give you 20ppg a night but they both bring intangibles and all the dirty work. They both dominate the game without scoring.

Rondo gives you 12-15apg while Noah gives you 12-15rpg. They both hustle and go after loose balls, do everything that their team needs to win the game. their impact is simply amazing.

Rondo is a good rebounder while Noah is a pretty good ball handler and a passer for a center. Rondo steals the ball while Noah blocks shots. Both are pretty good at helping teammates with weakside help. Both play important positions in the NBA.

The thing for Rondo - magnifies everything that he does is because he plays for a CONTENDER - who went to finals a couple of times in the last 3 years. If Noah was on a team like Heat or Lakers, he would be getting as much hype and props as Rondo does right now.

What are your thoughts on these 2 players???

Noah isn't nearly the same caliber of player.

Actually he is rather high. Not on Rondo's level, but very near.

Noah isn't nearly the same caliber of player.

The thing is Noah can fit in with almost any team in the NBA (except Orlando), and be super productive.

Rondo could be pretty good but without 3 HOFers, who knows. He might need a specific team that has scorers around him.

Also, there are ton of good PGs in the NBA today, while centers??? Not many.

Duhhhh he is a C that can slot in at PF if needed. He can still be super effective along side Lopez, Bogut, Gasols, Bynum etc. They don't control the ball the way a pg does. Can't understand your point there.

Don't hold it against Rondo because the position he plays is more stacked that Noahs. Plus PGs gotta control the ball so I really can't understand your point here.

The thing is what Rondo is doing no one has seen since a young J.Kidd. His overall game is better than that of any PG outside of CP3 and D.Will and whether or not he played for a contender he'd be getting the respect he deserves. Is his play and his stature magnified because he's a Celtic HELL YES. But don't downplay or discredit his abilities and accomplishments when comparing him to Noah because quite frankly Noah isn't half the leader Rondo is.

Noah is a phenomenal player may not be on Rondo's level but he's certainly very near. But even if he played for a contender Rondo will still be regarded as the more valuable player.

PS: If you made this point 8 months ago when so many IDIOTS were saying (some still are) that Anderson Verejao is better than Noah (because the Cavs played winning basketball) I'd totally understand.

Sure I could see it. I think Rondo is on a higher level though.
