Not sure how I feel about this.. based on what we saw in the pre-season he is going to get his *** kicked.

It appears that if Rolston can’t play Wednesday that rookie right wing Mattias Tedenby, who was called up from Albany, will get to make his NHL debut against the Sabres.

Still, MacLean said that whether Tedenby plays Wednesday is “not necessarily” related to whether Rolston plays. So, it’s possible both could play against the Sabres.

“We’ll see,” MacLean said. “We have to evaluate with Rollie. Tedenby is one of those kids that he’s got a few games under his belt with the North American style. You know he has speed. We’ll see how it transpires.”

Tedenby, the Devils’ 2008 first-round draft pick, had three goals and two assists and was plus-3 in 10 AHL games with Albany. He was told he was being called up and came to New Jersey on Sunday, so he did not play in Albany’s 6-4 home loss to Providence.
