6 games in, Byron Scott has cleveland at 3wins, 3Loses atop the Central Division. The Cavaliers so far are averaging 99.7 points a game and 5 players are averaging double digit points a game. If Cleveland finishes with 40 to 45 wins does he win COY considering how BAD the Cavs were predicted to be?

If he gets the Cavs to the playoffs then he deserves it. JJ Hickson is really taking Cleveland by storm since LBJ is gone.

To early to say, but I think he has a good chance if Cavs make the playoffs

Has a decent chance, but I think the New Orleans coach deserves it so far.

Ya, if the cavs makes the playoffs I can definitely see him being in contention for Coach of the Year.

They have only played six games. It's a long season and things could easily fall apart. Ask the question when they have proven something.

I agree with the hornets coach as a top contender so far don't even know who he is though lol bit he's leading an undefeated team who was predicted to not even make the playoffs, and they're beating good teams. Also atlantas new coach and the new offense he has them running

Oh yeah, him too. If the Hornets make the playoffs and face the Lakers in the Confence Finals, then he will win the coach of the year.

That is a BIG if. I know they beat Boston but Boston didnt take them seriously and it was a fluke. In the words of Skip Bayless....TALK ABOUT BEING A PRISONER OF THE MOMENT

They lost by 20 to a 1-5 Raptors team and their other two wins came against 1 win teams. Like someone said their schedule has been baby soft. If they are still .500 to end December then i will be impressed.

If Cleveland makes the playoffs he will be in the talk (but won't win). They don't give the award to the coach of the 8th seed.

Their schedule the first 2 months is very very easy. Look at their January schedule they won't make it through that. They got players you don't win 66 games if you don't.

And JJ Hickson was good when Lebron was there but Mike Brown refused to play him int he playoffs.

I dunno, the cavs have pretty decent players. They just have to get used to a different kind of play style. 3-3 isn't a bad start though.

I doubt it, its not like he took a 15 win team to a playoffs. He is coaching the number 1 team in the NBA minus LeBron.

They are 2-0 with mo back in the lineup. They will get better when jaminson comes back

I feel like Jamison hurts teams, like the Wizards
