I thought Millsap before the season. Looks like he's the front runner.

Conley and Millsap are running away with it at this point imo

Monta Ellis, Mike Conely, Scola and Milsap all have a chance at it if you were just going to look at how they are playing now, but they could all start slowing down later.

DJ Augustin and Jrue Holiday have a chance just because of the amount of minutes and talent they have.

Mikey Conley, DeMar DeRozan, Terrence Williams, J.J. Hickson.

Add D.J. Augustin and Luis Scola to this list.

The fact that there are so many different answers should tell you that this thread is premature, this will change so many times over the course of the season.

No not Luis Scola. He was just as good last year. To win MIP you have to actually have a boost in stats.

Andrea Bargnani for me. 20+ PPG easily this year (with decent %).

Paul Milsap is playing well, but he's getting more time and touches this year. I think he has been just as solid in the past.

Good candidates- Luis Scola, Roy Hibbert, J.J Hickson...

If they had to give the award today, I would vote Mike Conley Jr. He's been a starter for a few years now, and I don't know what kind of spinach he ate the summer, but he looks like a totally different player. He is much more confident, acts more like the leader that team needs, and did it just in time to deserve that new contract. Big up to Junior.

No love for Dorrell Wright? Averaged 20.5ppg, 5.5rpg 1.2spg and, also has a percentage of 545% from 3pt. The most that were previously averaged 5.0rpg 7.9ppg and throwing for 364% of 3pt ... Obviously the season is starting, but if continues, will be one of the favorites, along with Scola or Hickson.
