View Full Version : Is Baron Davis Hindering the Progression of the Los Angeles Clippers?

With a trio core of Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon and Chris Kaman, the out of shape, old, slow, lazy Baron Davis is stopping the progression of the LA Clippers.

Do you feel like the Clippers should look to trade him at the deadline and finally get a true floor general at that point guard spot? He's been in LA for 2+ yrs and has either been injured or just flat out lazy and ineffective.

And if they should trade him, what would be some realistic trades that the Clips can make for B. Davis and maybe make a playoff push for the 8th seed in the West?

They should trade kaman and davis, both are horrible chuckers

Yes, very much so, he reminds me of a lesser AI...he will be traded I feel.

This. Kaman and Davis are brutal...I always thought Kaman was decent because of his numbers, but with Griffin in LA I've actually been watching Clippers games this year and...ew.

I feel the same way. Been watching their games this season and they look out of sync. They should definitely look around for some different veterans because they have a VERY good young core that can take them far.

Clippers definitely need a pass first point guard.

Ha, I think they should trade Davis to Miami for Mike Miller.

More like the progression of Blake Griffin. Damn, I feel bad for that guy.

Yeah I wonder how much they see in that Bledsoe kid. Could get rid of Davis for some picks and bump him up to the action.

his contract is not going anywhere.

who cares, its the clippers

they shoulda made a move for Darren Collison during the summer.. He looks like he can fit in with the Clips

Baron Davis really sucks....Chris Kaman does too...but for some reason the Clippers think these two will lead them to the promise land...
Baron Davis is no where near what Sam Cassell was and Kaman is no where near the contributor Elton Brand was.....

we have Blake and Eric Gordon going for us...besides that woah........

If this team goes 0-5 or something its over before it even begins..

Ha, I think they should trade Davis to Miami for Mike Miller.

Yeah ok, because their salaries match.

this team needs a full youth movement. if there's anyway they could shed baron i'd be all for it. ideally i like the clippers to make a ploy at ricky rubio as well :D however i'm sure minnesota would want there pick back which i really don't want to give up

11-01-2010, 02:33 AM
to Atlanta for Jamal Crawford or maybe to jersey for harris or too 76ers with 2 1st round for iguodala

11-01-2010, 03:18 AM
if baron was pass first he would be an amazing point guard, the coaches need to get into his head and tell him that it isn't his team to chuck

they should trade kamen though, i think griffin will do fine for them and kamen just clogs space

get a slasher for kamen and reconfigure baron and the clippers will be an alright team

11-01-2010, 04:01 AM
but if he is old, slow lazy and ineffective then who would trade for that? Baron has really lost his explosiveness and at this point is just a guy. That was evident when a 37 year old Jason Kidd dominated him in all phases of the game today.....

They should but I don't see a team wanting to take BD's contract. Kaman will likely be easier to move considering it will be an expiring next year so if they make any moves he would be the centerpiece of any deal.
