Who’s Better: Amar’e Stoudemire or Chris Bosh?

Long before they were the two most coveted power forwards in the 2010 free agency class, Amar’e and Bosh were linked together and compared head-to-head.

In the 2002 McDonald’s All-American Game, Amar’e and Bosh arrived on the mainstream scene as high school superstars. Amar’e went straight to the NBA after that game — where he’d become the first prep-to-pro to win Rookie of the Year — while Bosh went to Georgia Tech for a year before the Toronto Raptors drafted him No. 4 overall in ‘03, arguably the most talented draft class of all-time.

Their careers have been neck-and-neck when it comes to stats, but one has an edge that goes beyond numbers. And as they get set to begin the next chapter of their careers with new teams and in new roles, it’s safe to say Amar’e is just a notch better than Bosh.

Neither has ever impressed me with their defense, but Amare is just more exciting to watch but that may have been because he benefited from playing with a future HOF point guard in Nash. On the flipside Bosh will now benefit from playing with Wade and James.

Ahahaha ****** article

Rebounding = Bosh (O and D)
Defense = Bosh (Help, man, off the dribble, in the post)
Scoring = Bosh (out of FG, Post moves, dunking) Amare gets dunking :rolleyes:
Shooting = Bosh (Mid range, FT, Stand up, jump shot)
Handling = Bosh

AMARE STODEMIRE all day! AMARE got a DOG in him who wana dunk on people and win! Amere is a better player in a post, attacks rim better and is starting to hit mid range jump shots, Chris Bosh is a better shooter but I like AMARE'S Will to win and talent.

I say Bosh now. But, in fairness to Amare, he hasn't been able to always show all of his skills off because the offense ran through Nash. I think this year he will get a chance to showcase more talent besides pick and roll. So I think we can all make a better judgement after the season. But definately Bosh for now.

Amar'e, and I don't think it's even close. To me, Bosh is probably the most overrated player in the NBA. Amar'e is a straight up beast.
