And had lost there to the Rockets instead of losing in the Eastern semis?

It goes against all logic to say that one's legacy could be hurt by advancing two rounds further, despite a loss, but we all have heard "Jordan: 6/6 in the finals" over and over again to deter any other player who had lost in a finals from ever comparing.

So, would his legacy had taken a hit, remained the same, or gotten stronger had he been able to lead his team to the finals playing only a fraction of a season?

Note: I just created this thread 10 minutes ago, but it appears to have vanished. If it has been moved then the title saying it had been moved would have been present on the main page like the rest, correct? Because I don't know what happened to it, I'm creating it again.

Dude, you need to check the classic forum. If a player is retired/hall of fame threads on them go in that forum.
