It's a lot closer than you think buddy boy. Bosh is soft.... Noah's skinney *** is finally coming around and he is ready to pounce! Bosh is a great player as well I'm just saying. Man I can't wait for the year to start and for these teams to meet

For a #1 or #2 guy it is Bosh clearly. For a #3 guy to be a defender, rebounder, etc give me Noah.

Example:

If I have Kobe and Gasol, I'd rather have Noah clearly as my 3rd best player over Bosh.

If I have Melo and CP3, then give me Noah as well.

Bosh will be putting up 20/10 all season long with FG% greater than 60...Let me see how Noah is with his plantar fasciitis first. That injury just doesn't go away.

Bosh is clearly (well kinda) a better all around player in the NBA I'm just saying it's note worthy to track comparisons.....

Noah is actually the more complete basketball player. He's the much better rebounder, defender, and passer. They're similar when it comes to jumpshooting as well. Of course Bosh is the more prolific scorer, and is more efficient.
I'd take Noah though, seeing as i can find a Bosh type player before I can find another Noah. Not to mention, Noah is a legit center while Bosh is a PF so position also plays into the equation.

Terrible way to judge players. Deron Williams has only made 1 all star game in his career. Oh, and Mo Williams has as well. I guess that means they are comparable right?

To be a homer is one thing, to be anhomer who tries to pretend that his hometown choice has merit is another. Much less tolerable.

Much better passer? Can you please explain why Bosh has the higher AST% and much better TOV%? It would appear that Bosh is actually the much better passer.

The rebounding advantage for Noah is also overstated. He is a better rebounder, yes. Last year it came down to .5 of a rebound a game and less than 3% TRB% (20.4 vs 17.7). This is nowhere near enough to make up for the vast superiority of Bosh.

See for yourself:

Bosh-25 PER, .592 TS, 9.6 WS, .182 WS/48
Noah-17.9 PER, .557 TS, 6.2 WS, .154 WS/48

As far as jump shooting, Bosh shot .442 from 2pt jumpshots in 2008-2009 (the last year 82 games has presently). Noah didn't even shoot enough to qualify. Bosh has range out past the 3 point line, Noah does not (Bosh shot 36%).

As far as finding another Bosh vs. finding another Noah I can tell you these facts:
1. Bosh was 4th in the league in PER last year.
2. Only 3 players averaged 20 and 10 last year (Bosh was the highest scorer at 24 and 11)

On to Noah:
1. Noah was 8th in rebound rate. 8th. Good, not amazing for someone without any other great skills or tools. Especially when that person does not block shots or have a single, tangible threatening offensive ability.
2. Noah is one of 14 players to have averaged 10+ points, and 10 + rebounds last year.
3. Noah is tied for 10th in d reb rate and 15th for o reb rate. For someone who makes a living on the glass that's surprisingly average.
3. Noah is one of the least productive shotblocking starting centers in the league.
4. Noah is the same height as Chris Bosh and only 20 lbs. heavier. That is negligible, especially stretched over a 6'11" frame. The "positional" advantage is a sham. Bosh is the better center, PF, SF, SG, PG, Benchwarmer, Coach and they're equally unaesthetic.

Hopefully that squashes this thread.

All depends your needs really. I'd take a C over a PF. For the Heat I could see why they want Bosh. For the Bulls having a good PF their selves I'll take Noah. Not really sure why we are comparing the two?

Why? Pretty much because I think Bosh is soft, so it was well deserved!

Bosh-Top 20 player (18 IMO)

Noah-Not even top 50

I think I would pick Bosh, if you want a more compelling arguement read Footballer2369's comment.

p.s. I could name 50 players better than Noah, but I dont really want to, so im not making the list.

This is a pretty solid argument... but my favorite part was the last part, "they're equally unaestetic":laugh::laugh:

I hate comparing players who dont play the same position. Roles are different for each one, so its hard to compare.

But if i had to pick, then Bosh easily

What do you mean he has proven much more unless you mean making the allstar team.
