After sitting out the Milwaukee Bucks' first three exhibition games with soreness and swelling in his surgically repaired right hand, center Andrew Bogut is dealing with his physical situation.

"I might not be 100% the whole year," said Bogut.

Bogut, a third-team all-NBA selection last season, suffered injuries to his right hand, wrist and elbow in a gruesome fall on April 3. He sat out the three exhibition contests after getting hit on the hand in practice on Oct. 1.

With the start of the regular season a little over two weeks away, a general sense of urgency is starting to build as far as getting the entire team healthy. But Bogut is the biggest concern, since so much revolves around him.

The Bucks will have three more days of practice before playing three exhibition games in four nights beginning Thursday in Washington, and Bogut remains unsure when he will practice, as he waits for the swelling to go down.

"I'm just trying to be a little careful before the real season starts," he said. "I'd like to start practicing probably this week, but I think it'll probably be another . . . they said it would be about seven to 10 days from when it first happened.

"The elbow, finger, everything . . . I won't be 100%, so I'll have to play through the pain through the season. Even once it gets better, I'm still going to be 90% for the year or 85%.

"I don't have my mobility and flexibility like I should, but I just have to adjust to it."

:(

to think lakers fans bashed me when i said last year around december that we should definetly TRADE him while h was putting 20-10 and had some value beause he would UNDOUBTLY get injured again....

Using Bynum we could have avoided the MIami thing, Raptors woudl have bit in trading Bosh.

Unfortunate news. Will big men ever be able to stay healthy?

Howard, Horford, Noah, Marc Gasol ( cross fingers) , Duncan, Pau .....there ae quite a few that dont get injured or get MINOR injurys ( 15-20 games at MOST).

Bogut, not Bynum.

Lol.
Whe n talking obout Injurys if you read CEnter and a B you go for bynum in your mind inmediately.

If its an O you go for Oden.

Bogut is a pity he was chatiching it up and becoming worthy of his draft position

Horford, Noah, and Gasol are still young though and can definitely still catch the injury bug. Let's hope not, but it's possible.

That's a pretty young list though outside of Duncan and Pau. The big fellas don't age very well and as some of those guys start going through the rigors of a couple full seasons you may start to see more back and knee injuries popping up. Even look at guys like Garnett and Duncan nowadays, they aren't playing near as many minutes and they are hardly ever 100% healthy.

Noah has already been bothered by plantar fasciitis if I'm not mistaken, and once a player has it, it usually sticks with him for his whole career.

How serious is plantar fasciitis yearly?

Other than Jennings, he was undoubtedly the reason why the Bucks got the 5th seed. I hope he comes back strong and continues his defensive dominance.

Ugh. Bogut is our best player. We still almost beat the Hawks in the playoffs without him, but I put that in part of Scott Skiles.

If Bogut has to miss about 15 games this year, you can count that Skiles will have a gameplan. Don't forget the Bucks have depth.

So I guess Yao, Bynum and Bogut, all 3 will have to be on that 24 minute limit thing.

If I remember correctly - Bogut is actually a better low post scorer with his (off)left hand. This shouldn't affect his post game that dramatically.

This guy tried to hang on the rim and failed. It's not about taking care of your body...it's dunk the ball and stop trying to showboat.

At pretty much every position but Center. Gooden isn't a true Center, and Gadzuric sucks.

But hopefully how loaded the roster is at the other positions can make up for it.

Dan Dadzuric is on the Warriors: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3631

Jon Brockman? Larry Sanders? Brian Skinner? Wow, the Bucks are thin at C.

Oops, forgot he was part of the Maggette package.

Either way the Bucks should seriously go after Dampier of some type of stop gap 6'10+ defensive minded Center.

DAM, are star players in milwakee always injured ? they got great talent by these injuries really make it hard to see how far they would really go if they were all healthy specially in the play offs when it counts.

Most teams have a bunch of injuries.
