After the last two preseason games still hate Ruutu and Neil. They're dirty players and always seem to hit high and we even saw a little bit of that in the preseason. I never wanna wish injury on anybody but Neil hurting himself after taking a run at one of our forwards...kinda had it comin.

Il throw some you suck names out there.

John Druce- you ****ing suck. Guy scores 8 goals all year, then has 9 in 5 games vs. the Rangers in a sinlge series in the 89-90 Stanleuy Cup Playoffs. Had 14 total and 17 points in the playoffs that year. Career 3rd and 4th liner.

Luc Robitaille- you suck. Guy scores like it's going out of style for every other team he plays for and has 47 in 2 years as a Ranger. Plus a grand total of 5 in 26 playoff games over those 2 seasons.

Neil Smith- you suck. Yes I know you built a Cup Winner, but you destroyed the franchise for nearly a decade to do it.
And you'e guilty of the trade that really killed this team. On August 31st of 1995, you traded 23 yr. old Petr Nedved and 25 yr. old Seregei Zubov (the guy that led the team in scoring the year it won the cup) for 31 year old Ulf Samuellson, who could best be described as a pylon, and 29 year old Luc Robitaille, who at that time was coming off of an injury.

It took 10 years for the franchise to recover.

F***ING ROZSIVAL. everytime damn time he had the puck he always screwed up, looked like the rozsival from early last year rather than towards the end. Delzotto was terrible too, and eminger really? torts put gilroy in the damn lineup. theres a reason eminger has never stuck with one damn team... HE SUCKS! lundqvist really did all he could, both him and dipietro were very good. the defense was something id never like to see again thats for sure.

Yeah i have to say the Refs, then our defense and lastly Eminger really freaking blew today.

We improved so much on the offensive end we forgot how to play defense. Yes bad calls but the weak PK shows how much we need Drury back in the line up. The islanders had a really good moving powerplay and we got an unlucky bounce to PA who scored but wheres the defense? We need to hit more in the defensive zone, get guys out of the play.

I am not blaming anyone individually. This is the teams fault and something they all must improve on. Bring in Kennedy to play for Christensen next game. Have him play the 3rd line center and have Stepan play up front.

I coudnt disagree with you more. Everytime the pass came to him he messed up, he never even touched the puck. Bad passes, not flat to the ice and all jumpy.

Del Zotto was terrible? He did some good hitting, played strong in his own end. the only mess up he had was the one that led to the goal. He knows what he did wrong and in fact becase of his new found playing style on the PP to shoot more he scored a goal to redeem himself.

I didnt really notice anything Eminger did right or wrong, he wasnt noticable. I do remember this guy being just a go go go player. So i can see the kid always being out of position but his forcheck from the point is solid. I would like to see MCd get a try

DelZotto single-handedly caused two goals. I realize he got one himself but this is why the kid was -20 last year. He has to be better in his own end, and pairing him with someone else isn't gonna help because he's coughing the puck up to cause the goals. Yes I agree our D was crappy as a whole as well, I was expecting more from DelZotto myself, maybe I'm expecting too much out of a kid, maybe it's just too early, I don't know. All I know is that bringing in Gilroy is only gonna make the problem worse. We need someone who is gonna bang it off the glass when the pressure is on, and nobody on our D will seem to do that. At one point Lundqvist tried to fire it out around the glass himself. I really don't know what we can do, at this point I think McDonagh is looking pretty good to replace Eminger.

i agree mcz didnt play great, but he played ok, eminger was ok, but rosi was ****ing horrible, he coughed the puck up more then mdz and one of those cough ups you cant really blame on him it was shot at him....i do agree that mcd is ready and should be called up

Don't forget that two of our best penalty killers were in the box at the same time so it is difficult to judge the pk based on the end of the game

Today Mike Milbury

Mike Milbury is tired of Sean Avery.

In fact, the Hockey Night in Canada commentator would love to see the New York Rangers' agitator hang up his skates — and soon.

Avery continues to draw that type of harsh response, even when he's on the receiving end of an obscene gesture.

On Monday, Avery was at his infuriating best when he sprayed Rick DiPetro with snow while the Islanders goalie covered up the puck. The move angered defenceman James Wisniewski, who charged toward Avery before making a gesture to simulate a sex act.

The motion was an attempt to mock Avery, who was suspended for six games in 2008 and ordered to take anger management counselling for his vulgar remarks regarding his former girlfriend, Elisha Cuthbert, and her boyfriend Dion Phaneuf — when the defenceman played for the Calgary Flames.

While Milbury condemned Wisniewski's action, calling it "ridiculous and immature," he's bothered by the notion Avery is innocent of any wrongdoing in this case.

"He has been a pretty good player, but he's become a caricature of a professional," Milbury told CBCSports.ca. "It's not good for hockey, it's not good for the image that [the league] is trying to portray. We're not all poster boys for this business and never will be, but this has gone on far too long with his focus on being a distraction and an agitator rather than honing his craft.

"Here we are we're talking about Avery again, not because he made a great backhanded pass to set up the game-winning goal, but because he's part of another unsavoury incident. It's like watching a car wreck. You know it's not going to be pretty but you can't seem to turn away from it until you've had a look."

Wisniewski travelled to the NHL's head office in New York to speak with the league's disciplinarian, Colin Campbell, on Tuesday. A decision is likely to be handed down in a day or two. With the league's attempt to crack down on such behaviour, Milbury anticipates the Islanders defenceman to pay a price for his actions.

"I would fully anticipate a suspension and/or a fine," he said. "Even if he doesn't get fined, he loses his money because he's suspended. There is just no room for that, and the league's pretty clear about it. I would be very surprised if Colin Campbell didn't issue a suspension of a few games or so."

For his part, Avery isn't holding his breath while waiting for any kind of retribution on his behalf.

"It's pretty obvious what the guy was doing," Avery told reporters. "But I'm sure nothing will happen to him because nothing ever happens. It's interesting, he'd get a warning for something like that.

"Can you imagine if I did that? They sent me to rehab the last time I did something. It's crazy."

Milbury wasn't amused when he learned of Avery's plea of innocence.

"Woe is me. I mean, I have no time for it and I've got no time for him. It's too bad that Wisniewski lost his composure and let Avery get to him. If you send a message to everyone in the league, it would be just to ignore him and make him go away sometime, and the sooner the better because it's no fun anymore.

"For whatever reason, the Rangers, the league and Avery continue to march on. There's really nothing you can do. You can't steal the guy's profession. He's signed his contract. They [Rangers] have the obligation to pay the guy, but boy, the sooner he hangs it up and goes to the fashion industry the better for all of us."

Mike Milbury sucks....he always has and he's so far up the Islander organization he helped destroy that he's trying to blame Avery for J.W's idiotic act. Milbury give your head a shake, I suppose it was Avery's fault you signed Yashin to that crippling contract.

I dont listen to anyhting that Milbury says ever. You're so right dude, he's a total douchebag. Guy had a couple of good years as coach in Boston in the late 80's when the Wales conference was so weak and he is the person most responsible for the mess that the NY Islanders have been the last 15 years.

It's no wonder he'll never get another NHL job ever again, and if he does, the person who hires him should be shot in the face.
