The logic behind this is simple, i'll name 3 players in separate groups, out of each group you name a player you will extend their contract, one to cut and one that you can trade. Obviously people will rather keep all 3, but pls, abide by the rules.

A) Lebron, Durant, Kobe
B) Rose, Westbrook, Rondo
C) Paul, Deron, Nash
D) S Curry, Evans, Jennings
E) D Howard, P Gasol, Lee
f) Amare, Bosh, Boozer

All players who extended the contract, because I think they have a future and can help my team win. (Lebron, Rondo, Paul, Jennings, Howard, Bosh)
For the team I cut was because they were getting old (Kobe, Nash), were not the best (Rose, Lee, Curry), or could cause injury problems (Boozer)
Those who exchanged, it was because I felt good but did not need, however could get good players if need. (Durant, Westbrook, Deron, Evans, Gasol, Amare)

The desicion was stronger Curry, Evans, Jennings, all three are young, and still have not seen the maximum of them. But I had to decide.

cut:
kobe(best in the game but least trade value due to age and is due to start regressing)
Rondo( has no range on his shot)
Nash( age)
Jennings(terrible statistically, esp if you take away his first month or 2)
Lee
Amare

Extend:
Durant(age and potential)
Westbrook. better athlete than rondo, better distributor and defender than rose)
Paul(best PG in the league)
Curry( could become the next Nash. his range?...the gym)
Howard( age and latent talent. already the most dominant C and only getting better. Plus he doesnt miss games)
Bosh

Trade
Lebron(would be able to get anyone in the league in a trade for him)
Rose
Deron( worse passer, shooter, defender, rebounder than paul, but is still great at all and has potential plus size and a better playoff history. top 2-3 pg in the league)
Evans(people are high on him since he ave 20-5-5 as a rook)
Gasol
Booz(traded him due to injury

A) Extend Lebron. Has the chance to be one of the best players in NBA history. Other guys are great too but Lebron is arguably the best in the world and can still improve greatly.

Trade Durant. Durant is great but it is between him and Kobe. Durant would probably demand more over Kobe even though Kobe is better since Durant is youngers and has great potential.

Cut Kobe. Nothing against Kobe but he is the oldest so I probably going to cut him

B) Extend Rondo(I like his game the most). Trade Rose(Would get the most value). Cut Westbrook(Not as great as the other 2)

C) Extend Paul(Best of the 3 IMO. I think he's younger too). Trade Williams(It's either him or Paul and I rather keep Paul). Cut Nash(Old)

D) Extend Evans(Going to be top 10 in the future). Trade Curry(I like him but Evans will probably be better or just as good. Evans just have more swagger in order to lead a team). Cut Jennings(Attitude problems could come up IMO).

E) Extend Dwight(No question). Trade Gasol(i'm not getting any value back for Lee). Cut Lee(It's Lee).

F) Extend Bosh(Youngest). Trade Amare(Too much injuries to extend). Cut Boozer(worst player out of the 3)

Trade: Lebron, Rose, Deron, Evans, Howard, Bosh (generally, most value w/ combo of age and name)
Cut: Kobe, Westbrook, Nash, Jennings, Lee, Boozer (can't believe there's actually a scenario where I would cut Nash AND Kobe)

Agree with most post here...

For me its simple logic..You extend the best player...Cut the older one...Trade the youngest..

IF there are 2 players who are almost identical in talent like between Kobe and LBJ., you go to the younger guy..

This would've been better if you made it so there was 5 sections (instead of 6), and each of the 5 sections would contain 3 evenly matched players of the same position for each section, so we'd end up making a team.

I would do:
A) Keep Lebron -- Trade Durant -- Cut Kobe. (I know Kobe is better than Durant right now but Durant would have more trade value right now IMO.)

B) Keep Rondo -- Trade Rose -- Cut Westbrook

C) Keep Paul -- Trade Deron -- Cut Nash

D) Keep Curry -- Trade Evans -- Cut Jennings

E) Keep Howard -- Trade Gasol -- Cut Lee

F) Keep Amar'e -- Trade Bosh -- Cut Boozer

You would start Rose over CP3?

I think CP3 would be the best 6th man of all time, Rose would be a very good back up. CP3 would simply take the second unit to the next level. But, your right until proven otherwise Paul is a better player than Rose right now.

as talented as that team is, that team would be terrible! a bunch of ball dominate players with no range. ZONE all day

Range would be an issue, but my thinking is that they would have such good ball rotation that it would be hard to play a pure zone, especially with Howard in the post and 4 guys who can slash to the basket and hit mid range jumpers.
