It was either Boozer or Amare pretty much, and both of them have had injuries in the past. However, Amare's were definitely more significant in my opinion. The bottom line is it's only 15 games, and we will be fine with Gibson, Omer Asik, and Kurt Thomas.

He was obviously going to get hurt at some point. That's what he does. But he will come back and be a great PF, just like always. It doesn't mean much for CHI IMO. MIA is locked into #1 seed and ORL is #2. Boozer wouldn't change that. If BOS plays hard in the regular season, they'll be 3 and CHI will be 4. If not, CHI will be 3 and BOS 4. That's how I saw it playing out even if Booz played 82 games.

What are you trying to argue?

That the Bulls are anywhere near the Magic?

Im arguing two things. Most importantly, I argue at it is irrelevant to diss the bulls yet claim the magic have ANY real chance of winning or are serious contenders. Second, yes. The bulls potentially are on the level of the magic. They are deep too. They play defense, rebound at multiple positions. They can still realistically get Melo. They have a better PG. Shooters that can shoot as well. Deng vs Lewis is pretty even. D12 is better than Noah but not more extensively than Boozer is over the magic's PF.

In short, a lot of people are sleeping on the Bulls, but they could surprise a few teams. And if they steal the 2 or third seed and play the magic, I would not be surprised to see them in the ECF. and if they manage to get Melo and keep Noah, I would say they are the unquestioned favorites between the two.

lol a broken hand has nothing to do with being injury prone whether he is or not. he doesnt have a history of hand injuries. he has only had 2 seasons where he suffered an injury that kept him out a lot of games. one of those was for a hamstring and the other for his foot. his hand has nothing to do with his injury history. and most of his injuries are ones that he plays through.

does wades injury not make him injury prone? if boozers injury is because he is injury prone then when wade hurts his knee, im going to say that it was because he severely injured his shoulder years ago.

Blessing in disguise.
This gives Taj Gibson and James Johnson an opportunity to grow for the 1st quarter of the season. When Boozer comes back, them and Noah will be a formidable frontline.

It also ensures that these two products don't get traded - at least until the deadline when both of those sophomore bigs will have higher value.

I could see Boozer coming backk in late December, early Janurary and fitting fantastic by all star break. The Bulls look at what they have and figure they can add some perimeter scoring by setting up a deal involving either Gibson, Johnson or both
Jamal Crawford?
Arenas?
Heck, Tmac?

Bulls will be just fine.

The bulls are insignificant regardless. Everyone knows the East crown is a threeway battle between the Heat, Celtics, and Magic.

idk how you can automatically put the celtics ahead of the bulls. ill give you the heat and magic at #1,2 but the celtics are so old that any of their players could get hurt at any time and i think that shaq actually hurts them rather than improves them.

you never know what could happen once the playoffs start. the bulls have played very well, or at least above expectations, in the post season. last year they played pretty well against the cavs and the year before they took the celtics to game 7 and that was without an improved rose and noah, without taj gibson and korver, and without boozer. the only thing the bulls had going for them that year was the rookie of the year in rose and ben gordon. i think guys like noah and rose kind of like being the underdog and they excel in those types of situations and now that they have more depth and a better team overall, i could see the bulls upsetting one of the top 3 east teams.

Those are like little common injuries a good % of players deal with and play with especially one whos had to basically do it all for his team for 2-3 seasons. He wont miss any important game because of it and will only not play if the coach wants him to rest. By the end of the season most seasoned players have those types of injuries, has nothing to do with there overall prone to injury just natural wear and tear over the course of a season.

If the Bucks can get 4-6 games ahead of the Bulls during that timespan, I don't see them falling behind the Bulls. This gives the Bucks a huge shot at claiming the 4 seed (by winning the Central division).

Come on who didnt see it coming its carlos boozer. Just like Bynum being out for a while this was expected and is a big reason why I and many others who pick the heat to win it all arent concerned about the bulls and the bynum factor for the lakers.

SN: JO of the celtics and possibly shaq (but less likely for anything serious) is also of little concern for this very reason.

Here's the Bulls huge signing, the one that makes them better than the Bucks right? For one it doesn't, but secondly Boozer is back to his usual tricks. Always injured. Over paid for him and put wayyyy to much stock in him.

The way I look at it is this. If the Jazz couldn't get that far with a better coach and a better point guard, how are the Bulls going to be any better with a rookie coach and a couple of Jazz rejects. Central division is wide open for the Bucks this year. And for many years after.

And if they steal the 2 or third seed and play the magic, I would not be surprised to see them in the ECF. and if they manage to get Melo and keep Noah, I would say they are the unquestioned favorites between the two.

wade is certainly an injury prone player (period)
