Lets not state the obvious now.

Who cares? Why does it have to make news when either of these two players make 1 comment about each other?

Best Robin in the world.

Don't get it twisted, when it comes to games that matter and actually playing quality competition in a postseason Lebron is inferior both mentally and in the skills he brings in comparison to Kobe. That is a proven fact.

Because they are the top 2 players in the NBA. Nobody would care if Sasha Vujacic said he could beat Luke Walton in a game of 1 on 1

What Michael Jordan would have said about Magic Johnson back in the day, if asked.

Nothing new to see here folks. Keep it moving.

I dont know how you judge that. Was Kobe less competitive when his team was bounced from the first round of the playoffs from 05-07? And didnt he refuse to shoot the ball in the 05 -06 Phoenix series because people were question his shot selection? That could be looked at as not playing your best when it matters most.

Or was he lacking mental toughness when his team didnt make the playoffs during the 04-05 season?

Teams win championships and in order to win championships you have to get through tough competition. Its the reason why you can be a dominant player and not win like Lebron or like how Kobe didnt win immediately after shaq, but have a team of aging stars like Celtics make it to finals. Team game

This is going to end up Lebron vs. Kobe. Oh wait it was like that when the thread was started.

I didn't say he wasn't. Just saying that the fact that one guy can beat the other in 1-on-1 doesn't necessarily make the guy a better player than the other.
