What will the rankings look like if every team in the nba has every player in his prime?

AntiG
09-30-2010, 09:35 PM
Obviously the Celtics would be #1. The C's roster is practically the Dream Team if they were all in their primes.

MTar786
09-30-2010, 09:37 PM
the celtics and its not even close.

rondo
allen (in his prime!)
pierce (in his prime!)
KG (in his prime!!!!!!!!!)
shaq (IN HIS PRIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

jermaine oneal was a 20-10 machine in his prime

those 6 players already win it every year till the nba goes bankrupt

kArSoN RyDaH

What about the other 29? Where do they rank?

The Celtics would absolutely destroy everyone. And its not even an argument in the slightest.
Ray Allen
Kevin Garnett
Shaq
Paul Pierce
Jermaine O'Neal
Rajon Rondo

I honestly don't even feel the need to continue. They would win 80 games haha

Its actually frightening to even think about for Boston.

odom, ratliff, blake, barnes, fisher, artest, kobe, gasol, bynum. All in their primes would absolutely destroy the heat. Ratliff in his prime would start at center for the lakers with bynum coming off the bench. No one on the heat could match that size.

Celtics by a mile. They are miles ahead of everyone in talent. But if you guys want chemistry to be a focal point, this Lakers team with a 06 Kobe would be absolutely sick.

mavs with dirk and kidd?

ahhh id put them #4 and houston #5 then.

I totally forgot about them.

09-30-2010, 09:47 PM
big z, juwan howard, jamaal magloire in their primes could hold their own.

lakers would have the best defense in the league along with a top 5 offense with a prime kobe. I dont see how big z? Can hold his own against a prime ratliff who was such an excellent shot blocker and solid on defense.

Dont forget odom.

ya. Lakers are pretty good actually. Probably better than Miami. I hadnt thought about artest. He is the difference maker to me.

the lakers wouldnt be that much better besides odom a little, ratliff, fisher by a little and artest by a lot

but it would be a sight to see 06 kobe and 04' (pre brawl) artest play on the same team.

artest in 04 the 8 games or so that he played he was an early mvp candidate.
he was playing defensive player of the year type defense and he was posting 25 ppg 6 reb 3apg 2 spg 1bpg on 50%fg and 40% 3pt fg

Dont forget odom.

Zydrunas was 17 and 8 with 2 blocks in his prime...magloire was 13 and 10+ with 2 blocks...howard was 22 and 8...

Ratliff was 12 and 8 with 3 blocks in his best year....it's not a signifigant advantage if it is an advantage at all...i'd say advantage heat if anything.

and dont forget mike miller (19-5-4 with 40% from 3 in his prime- my response to odom)..

very close matchup...

slight nod to the Heat though IMO JUST because of a guy like Juwan Howard at the end of our bench now, but putting up 22 and 8 in his prime.

McGrady's 32 PPG 7 APG and 6 RPG

Ben Wallace's 15 Rebounds + 3 Blocks

Rips 20 Points

Tayshauns Defense

Wouldn't be too bad.

glad to see the mavs get some love here. not top 3, maybe 4?

kidd, jet, marion/butler, dirk, haywood/chandler

roddy b off the bench (tough to tell what his ceiling will be, maybe like jet. undersized two, better ball handling skills.

What about Detroit? T-Mac in his prime, with Ben Wallace, Rip and Prince would be pretty good.
Mavericks with Dirk in his MVP form with JKidd and Matrix would be dirty.
Spurs of course. Jefferson, Duncan, Ginobilli all in their primes would be really good also.
Orlando with Vince Carter playing in his TDot form, Rashard Lewis showing us why he was worth the contract. You can make a case for any team, but Celtics are in a class of their own.

Orlando would be dirty though.. think about it, it would be like the 2001 Lakers, VC in his prime, with Dwight would be dirty plus add Rashard Lewis having a year like his last one in Seattle.. Jason Williams was pretty good back in the day too.

Phoenix last year would be pretty nice with Nash, J-Rich, Hill, and Amare.

Spurs are a good top five pick here, don't forget about McDyess in his prime.

Id have to agree. If those 5 were in there prime they wouldn't lose... In fact its almost a gosh darn dream team.

KG and Shaq alone in there prime is a 55 game winning team. U add the shooting and intangibles of Allen and Pierce and Rondo this last year and damn that's a scary *** team!

Orlando

Jason Williams
Vince Carter
Quinton Richardson
Rashard Lewis
Dwight Howard

I'd love to watch J Will throw up lobs for Howard and Carter in his prime. I hate VC but I watched every game he played in TO, and he was ridiculously good for like 3 years.

If MJ is eligible then Charlotte wins it all.

I was actually putting some thought into it, and the Celtics team really would be ****ing unfair. As a lot of you have already stated, that starting line-up is crazy. And then they have Kendrick Perkins, Jermaine O'Neal (great, great player), and Nate Robinson coming off the bench.

Unfair.

PF- Garnett (24.2/13.9/2.2/5.0A) - JO- (20.1/10.0/2.6)
SF- Pierce (26.8/6.7/4.8A/47.1%, 35.4%) - Daniels- (13.6/4.6/2.1A/1.2STL)
SG- Allen (26.4/4.5/4.2A/43.8%, 37.3%) - Delonte- (12.3/3.0/4.4A/1.1STL)
