For the Giants, it's easily Pat Burrell.

.202/.292/.333/.625/2 HR/13 RBI -- with the Rays
.265/.367/.513/.880/18 HR/51 RBI -- with the Giants

Might be for the whole league too, didn't realize his OPS was almost 900. Dude is clutch as they come this year.

I may look like a homer but ill go with Kerry Wood. Kerry Wood went 2-0 with a 0.36 ERA in 25 innings since being traded to the Yankees to serve as setup man to Mariano Rivera. tbh i dont know where we'd be without him.

Roy Oswalt

81.2 IP 1.65ERA, 0.88 WHIP, 72 Ks since being acquired by Philly.

I really don't think there is any arguement.

Roy Oswalt. Phillies wouldn't be in first without him.

I'll go with Roy O. And he plays a mean leftfield...

I didn't know Burrell had played that well. Wow. I guess it's true that the AL East is truly the toughest division in baseball.

It's gotta be Oswalt.

Oswalt...

Without Oswalt, the Phillies wouldn't have pitched their way through their epic offensive woes this season and, most likely, wouldn't have cracked 90 wins this year...

Oswalt was almost a rally cry for the entire Phils organization... By far, Rubens best acquisition in his young general managerial career...

The Twins bullpen acquisitions are huge in helping cope the loss of Joe Nathan.

Roy Oswalt. If the Phillies didn't have him, I don't know where they would be today. He came in and dominated in nearly every start, truly lights out. Pat Burrell is also a great acquisition, the Giants DEFINITELY would not be where they are today if they never acquired him.

Oswalt's been about just as valuable as Burrell despite Burrell being there a bit longer. Also, in the playoffs Oswalt is the better piece to have.

But, when considering the Giants didn't trade anything for him and are barely even paying him I don't mind. Both were perfect fits for both teams.

Oswalt is definately the best in-season acquisition IMO. He changed the season for the Phillies i dont think they would have made the playoffs without him.

Oswalt.

Woods was a great acquisition, but I don't know where to rank that.

Oswalt has been the best. Burrell has been the most valuable.
