Chinese Basketball Association Becoming Go-To Destination For Ex-NBAers (http://www.neontommy.com/news/2010/09/chinese-basketball-association-becoming-go-destination-disgruntled-ex-nbaers)

The CBA has become so popular that many ex-NBA players are no longer going to the Euroleague, which is the next best professional league to the NBA, but instead going to China.

Could this be because some Americans cannot compete with the competition that the Euroleague provides? Or is it that these players would rather score points against second-class talent and earn a paycheck while doing it?

or because they can earn a lot more $$$ playing in China from sponsorships than they can in Europe. Not only that but the $$$ they earn in China has more buying power than it would in Europe because China's cost of living is a lot lower...and you're not necessary sacrificing your standard of living either. not to mention that you're treated as a rock star as a basketball player over there while in Europe, soccer is the more popular sport.
