NBA will begin the 2010-11 season next month with more than $100 million in new full-season-ticket revenue, a record amount for the league, and also having sold more new full-season tickets than all of last year.

Can't wait to see how this will affect the CBA negotiations.

interesting indeed.....however, the fact that record income doesn't mean record profit for owners and teams. Numbers like these will have to be matched with the trend in player salaries before anything can be truly projected for the new CBA.

I am not surprised by the record ticket sales because of casual fans buying into the hoopla that was the off season. I still firmly believe that this off season was net loss for the game in ways that go beyond simple economics, however.

Miami's Big 3, Lakers chance for a 3 peat, Chris Paul back healthy, NY with Amar'e, Chicago with Boozer, John Wall and Blake Griffen going for ROY, Durant going for MVP, etc. There is a lot to look forward too this season.

bahahaha.

Its true though. Think about it.

Also, there is a lot of other exciting things happening in the NBA, as mentioned above. The fanbase is excited to see a new year filled with new rosters, coaches, and what essentially may be "retooled" conferences.
