The total of votes for each team will be counted (all 4 options together) and the team with the higher total wins. Eventually, the result will be the option with the most votes (out of 4 options) of the team that has the most votes altogether.

Example:

If the option which has been voted most out of all 8 in the poll is "Memphis in 6" (20 votes), it doesn't necessarily mean that Memphis has won. If Memphis has 50 votes (Memphis in 4, 5, 6 & 7 altogether), but New Orleans has 55 votes (New Orleans in 4, 5, 6 & 7 altogether), New Orleans is the winner, although it didn't have the most votes in any of its 4 single options. The option with the most votes of the winner (New Orleans) is the final result.

Let's say:
Memphis in 4 = 10 votes
Memphis in 5 = 5 votes
Memphis in 6 = 20 votes
Memphis in 7 = 15 votes
Total = 50 votes

Now lets say New Orleans has
New Orleans in 4 = 12
New Orleans in 5 = 13
New Orleans in 6 = 17
New Orleans in 7 = 13
Total = 55 votes
The winner would be New Orleans in 6 since they would have the most votes total overall and thus the option for them that was voted the most is New Orleans in 6 would become the final result.

I went with Dallas in 7. With two legit centers in Chandler and Haywood, they could throw some serious big man length at Gasol and Bynum (if healthy).

If Butler and Marion could force some bad games from Kobe, Dallas could surprise some people.

Yes, I'm furious that my team lost the online poll.

this, I think Dallas will make the 2 seed in the West but they will lose in the 2nd round, they choke, its what they do. Just like the Hawks, and Suns (exept for last year they did really well in the playoffs last year).

Exactly. They're the Chargers of the NBA. Win a bunch of regular season, never make it all the way.

Lakers in 7 to make it interesting.

The fact that Dallas went past the Spurs in the first-round is very questionable imo. No way Mavs make it past second-round this year, they'll have their difficulty making past the first. I went with LA in 5.

I'm a Rockets fan through and through but watch out for those Spurs... I hate to say. A few midseason moves and they could make a splash. Watch out for this kid Splitter... Dallas is out in the second round at best. Chandler and Haywood ends up a bust IMO. Only has the possibility to work if they both stay healthy. I see health an issue for them this year. This could be the year of the East... and not Miami! LA in it for sure in the Finals... It'll be a fun year for a lot of teams though. Good luck folks... See you in the playoffs! Well some of you at least! Be good...

I think Mavs could win in 6 (I voted for that) but realistically Lakers in 6 or 7.

Dirk will get 30+ a game easily. If Butler plays like he did for two of those games vs SA this past playoffs, Roddy gets 25+ min a game and Haywood/Chandler play solid D downlow, we can win.

The Lakers in 5.

Lakers are pretty much equal or better rotation wise at every position IMO. The talent level is just too vast.

Don't be mad when Boston or Orlando knocks "your team" out ofthe playoffs in rd 2, maybe rd 3.

LA in 5...Only player that fear me is Roddy...

In my own opinion mavs will end up with the 2nd seed but again lost in the 2nd round..They always choked in the playoffs...They are a very good regular season team but the playoffs is a different story for them..

Lakers in 4 without Kobe, but with Kobe, Lakers in 2. Which means, after game 2, Dallas can pretty much forfeit the series.

Dallas won't be in the finals btw...I see either Lakers/Thunder or Lakers/Spurs

I wan't a recount...

There's no way the Lakers could beat a healthy Mavs team with a healthy Tim Thomas on the bench.
