Am i the only one that doesnt read or listen to the media? It seems like 95% of "rumors" or articals that come out by the media are false or true but never end up happening. 95% of fans out there seem to believe everything they say. IE: The long and neverending lebron stories. Lebron is staying in clevland, 1 week later sources say lebron is headed to NY, a week after that lebron is headed to chicago, a week after that, lebron is going to NJ.....come on?? People need to stop talking about stuff that hasnt happend yet like it has. thoughts?

Im not saying it isnt true to the time im saying people believe everything they read at the time. Like if i was to write an artical saying the world will end next week, people read it then start telling their friends its going to happen.

I listen to the media in suspected rumors, or at least read the rumors. The media has many connections. I do NOT listen to the so called "experts" in the media, or the media in general when speaking about a player or team, and trying to evaluate them. Most sports writers are clueless when it comes to understanding of the game

I believe nothing until it has happened.

And you don't know one way or the other.

You can say you do, but the contents of your posts say otherwise.

Okay, I can agree that nobody knows for sure. But I'd rather take the speculations/rumors/news and try to analyze it to understand what is going on then just sit around and wait for the BREAKING NEWS to go across the bottom of ESPN.

The media is just a source for people who aren't connected to athletes or organizations themselves. Some sources are better than others.

Use the information intelligently and there's no problem. You don't have to buy just because you're in a Walmart right? Same with the media. You can just browse and buy what you want. No one is forcing people to get all hyped about every rumour. They have to take responsibility for being played by the worst sources.
